Looking for some coffee on a Saturday while at the Aoyama Farmers Market, I noticed this stand, setup on what looked like a bicycle contraption of some sort. I decided on a medium roast. While waiting for the drip coffee order(they use and sell a cool looking ceramic cone for this), I saw they had«San Francisco Los Angeles Tokyo» labeled on the table. Out of curiosity I asked one of the employees where the company is based and happily discovered that they’re from the San Francisco Bay Area. They are coffee roasters(organic, fair trade) and deliver on bicycles. He said that the company had recently opened up shop in Tokyo. I thought that was an interesting choice, but it seems common now for a lot of stateside businesses to choose Tokyo as their first international location, versus another coast, state, or major city. Definitely understandable. Really good fair trade coffee.
