Kyoto is known for its wagashi and parfaits so stumbling upon this café was the perfect opportunity for me to try both! Plus who doesnt want to try a kyoto café? Ok so I didn’t get to eat a parfait here because I chose the anmitsu instead but it’s similar enough, no? This café is a dessert omiyage shop on the 1st floor and the real good sfuff is on the 2nd. Theres an english menu With pictures so no worries if you can’t read japanese. They detail whats in the dessert in case you’re picky. Like me! I had been debating on anmitsu and the warabi mochi parfait but i don’t love warabi mochi so anmitsu it was! The anmitsu was a perfect blend of flavors that all complimented each other. I have never eaten dessert with a chopstick before but it was perfect for getting those agar noodles! There’s also other things on the menu like traditional matcha or whatever strikes your kyoto café interests. Check out the plastic mold display at the bottom. before coming up! The café is also the perfect place to enjoy watching tourists walking along arashiyama. What better place to be in the afternoon?
