It’s not a massive book store but has many unique books. I used to stay here for hours because their interesting collections keep me amazed.

This Aoyama Book Centre in Roppongi is such a fun bookstore and there’s always a lot to check out. Being in Roppongi, the town with a high percentage of foreigners, it’s no wonder they have a large selection of English books. It is also filled with art books, designer books, architectural books and lots of photography books. It’s very versatile and diversified indeed. As it’s only just outside the station, it’s a great place to kill time if you’re waiting for your friend whose running late. They don’t just sell books either, here, there’s a corner just for Lomos. I bought my fish eye Lomo here a couple of years ago and it’s been with me on so many fun trips overseas. I’d recommend bookmarking their website and Aoyam Book Centre has frequent events and seminars inviting interesting and inspiring speakers and professionals on a monthly basis. As Andy Warhol’s 15 min Eternal exhibition is currently in Tokyo, Bijutsu Techo and Casa BRUTUS are both doing a special edition this month on Warhol. With this Aoyama Book Centre will be having journalist from both magazines to speak on 22nd March. There are always fascinating talks held so make sure you say tuned and apply. Most of the talks and lectures are held at their main shop in Omotesando. If you understand Japanese, it’s definitely worth attending.

Convenient book store near Roppongi Station. Not that large or nicely decorated like other book stores, but I’ve killed some time here waiting for the bus to Shibuya or before meeting with friends. They’ve got a small selection of English books/magazines, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit this bookstore.
