Ramen Jiro Sakuradai ekimae

This is king of all ramen in terms of massive hearty filling chunky monster of a ramen for only 700yen. I make it a point to try and avoid the 1,400 to nearly 2,000 calories depending on the order but once in a while the craving hits… just can’t beat the cost performance of these bowls.
Your order can be customized by the volume of boiled veggies, garlic, extra lard or asking for a smaller portion of noodles (recommended if you are a newbie).
This day I had the 700yen ramen, no fresh garlic, small portion of thick chewy noodles and extra fatty lard. As usual the noodles were endless and it took forever to finish… but this is the only ramen spot where you feel that sense of accomplishment for finishing a bowl. The soup is incredibly heavy and oily so I suggest not slurping too much of it as it clings so very well to the noodles.
