Great place to shop for food and anything else you need at a department store. The 2 bottom floors in Daimaru are loaded with many selections for food. Cool Japan

Daimaru is probably my favourite Department Store chain. Perhaps there’s a bit of nostalgia but I’ve had nothing but impeccable service here and the product selection is fantastic. To illustrate how great the service is, my better half wanted to get a wallet and had very particular requirements. After rifling through the selection, we were pretty pessimistic that we’d find anything to satisfy all the check boxes. We were approached by a sales staff who was able to understand what we were looking for using broken English. She must have been a robot or using some sort of magic because she suddenly brought out four perfect wallets. As an aside, there’s also a small Pokemon centre on top.

Before Isetan Department Store opened here in Osaka, probably only Daimaru has a museum in large-scale departments around Osaka station. I sometimes get tickets of art works here and go to see them accompanying with shopping. It’s a small-size museum, but it is sufficient for me. If you come from Tokyo, you had better buy sweets of Tsumagari. The main shop is located in Koyoen, where I was taken pictures of me by a famous photographer for using pictures of arranged meetings(Omiai). The main shop is next door to the photograph shop. So I knew the sweets shop. And branch shops are only in Daimaru Osaka and Kobe. It is old-time sweets shop. I’m a fan of this shop. Wrapping is also cute! I sometimes give the person who has taste for cakes or baked confectionaries the sweets of this shop.
