Finally, I found a beer pong place in Japan. Beer pong, let alone basketball, is not as popular in Japan so it was quite difficult for a place to play beer pong. Also, this place is located in Shinjuku. It’s actually at Kabukicho or where all the host and hostess bars are at, but don’t let that distract you. The place is kind of small, but there’s enough room for 1 – 2 games of beer pong at the same time, if you move some chairs and tables around. There’s also darts. The beer pong is free to pay, but you have buy the drinks. And what’s beer pong without beer right? There’s no pitchers, so you have to buy beer by the glass. A glass of beer was 900 yen and it wasn’t that big of a glass too. So we ended up playing if each cup is worth ¼ of the glass of beer. So if one person makes a shot in one of of your team’s cups, you have to drink ¼ of a glass of beer. Our game lasted pretty long because I was the only who knew how to play and it was the first time for the rest my party. We also had a team of 3 because well, they were girls, but it’s ok. One game ended coming out to about 10400 yen which wasn’t bad I guess. The 5 of us split the bill which was around 2000 yen something per person. But this is Japan so things are expected to be expensive! Anyways, the place was great. There was also a glass window which you could look outside. If I’m partying up in Shinjuku again, I’d definitely come here again for beer pong. Oh and also, there are some beer pong nights where they have tournaments. I’m not sure how it works and all that, but I’m assuming there’ll be more people. There will also be more skilled people too. I happen to meet the Beer Pong Champion of Japan as I was leaving. He says he usually comes during the tournament nights, but I don’t know if I should go when he goes because that means I’ll be drinking A LOT. Haha, just kidding.
