Yoshinoya

Just outside of Shinjuku Station, via the Southern Terrace exit, this Yoshinoya is ten times better than anything you will have in the States.
Pros–
— Beef Bowl is incredibly tasty! The meat is spiced perfectly and the rice was just about the perfect combination of sticky and fluffy!
— Fast, and I mean like super fast, service! We ate on the second level and the lady working had our bowls to us in less than 5 minutes! She was cooking, washing all the dishes, and serving all the drinks to a full crowd upstairs like it was nothing!
— very affordable price wise, like $ 4 USD! Cheaper than back home and much better quality! in-​win!
Cons–
— Like most places in Tokyo, very small place with super cramped seating
— Once it fills up (which it often did) you are stuck either standing around waiting or just out of luck
— Only beer or water for drinks.lol.again, a lot of places in Tokyo were like this! Kirin or water only.
This place is rediculously convenient just as you leave the station, so we went here a couple of times during our stay.

Different from LA but still pretty tasty! You can even have beer or fresh salmon to go with your meal. The portions are a lot smaller so if you are feeling hungry, you might want to order a combo with soup and kimchi.
