I was wandering around Asakusa when I caught wind of the delightful smell of baked cream puffs coming from his shop and spotted an intriguing picture. Purple tarts?! When I saw them I knew I had to try the purple sweet potato tarts (紫芋のタルト).
Interestingly they actually have two layers: purple sweet potato on top and custard on the bottom, which when combined is very tasty. I liked the crust as well.
