Imado jinja shrine
I wanted to visit Imado Shrine ever since I saw it featured on a magazine.
I had to walk from Tawaramachi station, so it was a tough 30 minute walk.
This shrine is famous for the twin Manekineko cats.
Manekineko is a cat that lures money if it is raising the right hand; while it lures people (customers) if it’s raising the left hand.
The cats at Imado Jinja was smaller than I expected, but was happy to see them.
There is a complimentary shuttle bus called «Panda Bus», so we took the bus to go back to Kaminarimon gate.
If you want to go to a café near Imado Jinja, there is an Ameshin right across the street. We killed time here.
