I am a wine lover. Therefore, an upscale wine bar, right outside of a train station makes me giddy with happiness. My friend, a fellow Unilocaler, invited me to try this place. As soon as I walked in, I remarked on how I loved the ambience, especially the visible floor to ceiling walls of wine for purchase as well. We had a great window seat, thus solidifying the great ambience. The staff was so very helpful and made certain that the food delighted. As an anchovy lover, I really enjoyed the anchovy potato. Ebi ajillo is on the menu, so of course I ordered a few of them! We ordered one round of garlic bread and then decided that it was so good, we needed another round. My favorites were the karrage and the garlic bread. Of course the wine was a favorite! There was a very nice selection of wine by the glass or by the bottle. I am so glad I was able to try Revini. Can’t wait to go back!

For the past few months, I’ve noticed a colorful mosaic painted on what seemed to be a wine bar right across from Kanazawa-Hakkei. Those near the area know that that station is rapidly growing and changing and I think some great things will open in the near future. However, Revini is one of those great places that has recently moved in. I can’t totally write a full on review because I didn’t visit during serving hours, but I know this place has potential. My fiancé and I stopped by on way to dinner in Tokyo, so we popped in at 3pm on a Saturday. Lunch is served daily from 11 — 2, & dinner is 5 — late. On weekends, you can still enjoy the atmosphere between 2 and 5 as they keep the bar open and serve light snacks(cheese platters, etc) throughout the downtime. We were not there to try the menu, but the grill sure smelled amazing! The establishment is quite spacious(see photo) and even boasts a wine shop. There is an all you can drink option with prior reservations and a party of 4+. Prices for glasses of wine were reasonable. I’m going back this week, but I will have to use google translate because I didn’t see an English menu.
