This small place located within a minute from the Hiyoshi(Tokyu Toyoko) Station serves up a decent and inexpensive dish of what New Yorkers might know as Halal Chicken. Though I’m not sure if these are actually Halal certified, the prep and the way they are served is very similar. If it is prepared the same way I guess the chicken meat is marinated in(I think, if like back home) oregano, lemon, and coriander, then browned, chopped into chunks and served with tumeric rice, and a side salad of lettuce and tomatoes, a small ball of mashed potatoes and a sweet-sour-tangy white sauce on top. You can then mix it all together and chow down, or keep it all separate and chow down. Your taste buds will dance in excitement over the flavor festival. Ok, maybe I should tone it down a notch, but I do love this place and I suggest you give it a try. I always go with the basic, but there are plenty of others which substitute the white sauce with other stuff, as well as a whole bunch of other toppings. And I must add that they serve decent portions so for about 500 yen, you’ll be very satisfied. Here’s their FB page:
