Ampang Yong Tau Foo

I’ve been living in Ampang for the longest time but I sill have no idea what’s so special about Ampang’s yong tau foo. I would still buy some back for the weekend, though rarely, because it is convenient for me, but it taste just about the same as any other yong tau foo outside of Ampang, to be frankly honest. The only logically conclusion that I’ve managed to come up with was that the chef uses more fish meat than flour in their fillings, which of course is a good thing, but to me, it tasted too fishy and a little rubbery. That’s probably just it because I don’t fancy their fu chuk much. Let’s just say I’ve had many better ones in Taman Desa and in Subang.

Im not a really a fan of Yong Tau Foo, but i dont mind coming here with my friends which are big Yong Tau Foo fans.
I would just usually nibble here and there on what friends are having… they do get annoyed sometimes! Hehe.
Chill! I do have dish which ill order and enjoy too. That would be the Pandan Fried Chicken. (Not Yong tau foo at all) haha but hey at least im not stealing their food all the time! For chicken lovers… this is a MUST try okay?
To find parking here is just crazy. which is my i would usually just park by the road side across of the Yong Tau Foo but will keep a look out for summon tickets. And it get really packed during lunch time on weekdays.

Ampang Yong tau Foo is the only place I will have yong tau foo just because its the best! Its original and the taste is unlike anywhere else. For people that eat at Hometown Yong Tau Food etc. you don’t know what you’re missing. Compared to Ampang Yong Tau Foo, Hometown is absolutely not nice. Obviously Ampang Yong Tau Foo is very famous and you can expect a crowd especially is you go around brunch time on weekends.
Be ready to wait for a table for at least 15 minutes, but the wait is worth it cause the Yong Tau Foo here is made fresh, and because they are so busy, the turnover is really high and so they keep making fresh one’s, i guess that’s why the quality and taste is so different.
I really love this place and although it can get really hot cause its so crowded, I always leave will a full and satisfied tummy. The service here is efficient even when they are super busy and you get your food about 5 – 10 minutes after ordering.

Any Yong Tau Foo lovers in here? Well, you guys might wanna check this place out. All the customers who ever been here were saying that they are deeply satisfied with the foods here.
Well, I already tasted the Yong Tau Foo there. It may not as good and authentic as the Foong Foong but I have to say that you also should not underestimate their Yong Tau Foo. Trust me.
Not just the Yong Tau Foo, but the Pandan Chicken here also is highly recommended. So tasty and delicious. But the service here was quite awful, you might wanna remember that.
