Coffee2go

Coffee here is just alright, not the greatest. I was passing by the café on a way to an appointment when I decided I need a caffeine fix. I took a flat white, which I usually do for all my first visit to any café.
To be honest, I was a bit excited to taste their coffee but it didn’t reach up to my standards. However, their cakes look tasty but didn’t get the chance to try.
Well, I’d give Coffee2go another chance but for their cakes next time.

I normally go to the food court in Publika if I want a quick meal but never noticed there was a small café next to it. I think it was recent, for some reason I seem to recall it was some japanese fast food place before this. Anyways I decided to grab a quick coffee after lunch one day.
The coffee was surprisingly cheap! I mean, I’ve been conditioned to paying above RM 10 per cup of coffee in every other café I’ve been to. I couldn’t believe that a RM 5 latte was possible, especially in a place as pricey as Publika but it is. From Coffee2go… Well heres what you’ve been waiting for, the taste verdict. The latte was ok. It wasn’t fantastic but it wasn’t bad either and considering the price, I would say it was decent.
I like the chalkboard type of menu and the atmosphere Coffee2go gives off is a pleasant one. However because most people would, like the name suggest grab a coffee and go, I can’t say much about the ambience. There are only 3 or 4 tables there and I would say the décor is average. The service is ok too, the barista made the drink promptly and it was a quick in and out.

I always walk in and out of the food court in Publika and frequently noticed this small coffee shop. I don’t know whether it never crossed my mind to try it out or I never found the time for it, but I’ve never been. So during a lazy saturday last weekend, I decided to try something new and ordered a cake at Coffee2go. Their cake selection is not very wide but they have some interesting sounding cake. I chose a slice of Apple Cranberry Cream Cheese. The cake was quite good, it was moist and the cranberry was not too overpowering, sweet but subtle. Moreover, there was a generous helping of strawberries on top of the cake, my favourite berry so that definitely scored extra points :) The cake was good although if your a person that prefers variety, Coffee Stain and Coffee Société cakes would be a better choice.
The ambience of this café is decent with wood tables and an interesting menu board. However its very small indeed with only 3 tables. It definitely wouldn’t be the type of café I bring my girl friends to hang out, it would be way too cramped. But the décor is decent and the cushions pair well with the chairs. The service was good as well and the barista was friendly and courteous.
