Jung Won Korean Restaurant

1. A bit hot to have BBQ outside but I like the atmosphere.
2. Food was ok. Quality was ok. Noting special.
3. It was affordable. Decent price range.

I am not sure about you but i am also a crazy fan of watching Korean and drooling about the food they eat that i can’t get here which is the authentic food in Korean countryside. So, we came here during lunch hour when i was working in KL and situated behind Sayfol International School, this place amazed me the moment we saw. Great entrance, great exterior with a long porch and interior feels like you are in a korean hometown and there is also a private room with classy furniture and deco. That time was the perfect timing, there was NOBODY! at all! and we were like where is everyone?
So there was a beautiful porch where we step inside and in the middle is small pond, you can choose to sit outside in the outdoor table and chairs too or in the porch. It feels like i am in a traditional korean cuisine — true korean i suppose. The menu came and and they have so much options of soup — ox soup, beef soup, kimchi soup and much more! Sadly we could not BBQ coz we only got an hour, There is also a set lunch which is Rm15 and you have a option off ramen, fried kimchi and rice, seafood cake noodle and may more, but we chose ala carte instead, so soup it is, the soup was not too spicy and burst with all kind of flavours, the soup is not too thick and not too thin. IT WAS PERFECT. Not to mention, free flow of super delicious side dishes. The kimchi is so good. Bibimbap was superb, you will be given watermelon for dessert.
If you are wanting to do BBQ here, the meat can go from RM30-​Rm70. I definitely love this place, very enjoyable and service is fast and efficient.

My lovely fiancé picked me up from office one day for a dinner date and we were actually clueless about going where to eat. Then I remembered that my friend recommended me a Korean bbq restaurant in Jalan Ampang. So we used WAZE to get us there. If you know where is SayFol International School, you can find this restaurant easily! Fortunate for us that we were there slightly after 6pm and there were very little people on a Friday. Well, it is an early dinner for us actually.
When we arrived, there were ample of parking outside the main building. So we parked right at the main entrance. Then there is a short walk entering the main eating area. I was particularly thrilled to see that there are tables with tatami concept and outside covered seatings or with air-​conditioned seatings. The staffs were really nice, they will first asked us our preference of seats and of course seating out! Only after 7pm, you will notice that more people will walk in.
The menu was not particularly extensive but good enough. We ordered some meat without rice and the foods were served within minutes. Side dishes actually were good enough because we had asked for several times to refill it — too many times till we were both afraid that they will charge us for more money :)
Overall it was a good first time experience and I will highly recommend this place!
