One of the best Roast Pork aka Siu Yok you can find in KL I must say. The stall is opened opposite the shop lots here in Taman Kok Doh and is usually packed during lunch. I usually have to wait for a about 15 minutes before getting a seat during that time. If you think of coming later to avoid the crowd, don’t, it usually gets sold out by then. There’re very limited parking lots here, so the norm is to park along the road, but you’ll see people running when the traffic popo appears. The Roast Pork here is as fresh as it gets, roasted daily, you’ll get the maximum taste you can ever imagine getting from pork. The skin is super crispy, but the meat melts in your mouth. Seriously, it’s just heavenly. The main guy(chef) is always happy for some reason and has a mouth shield to protect spit from contaminating the precious meat. Love that hygiene control. You can order different types of portions from a single serving with rice or a large serving for bigger groups or families. They also have Chicken Rice here, but I’m really fond of it after tasting the pork. The standards have been set. Now comes the sad part that everyone doesn’t want to hear about. The price here is above average, with a bill of RM30 for 2 pax. An average price would be RM12 for pork and chicken rice. I never really got to know what time they close, because they usually sell out by noon, for the Roast Pork at least. The chicken gets a longer hanging time on those hooks(I don’t know if this sounds wrong).
