It was the first time(perhaps the last time too?) my friends and I went to Saisaki. My friend bought us buffet vouchers from Groupon last month to throw a birthday party there to one of our friends. By the way, if you bought the coupons from Groupon, it is important for you to call the company in making bookings to secure your seat, whether the voucher need to be printed and make sure you match the terms and conditions. Walk-in with your vouchers are usually not possible since there are lot of people who bought those cheap deals. The entrance is quite unnoticeable, located at the first floor of Wisma UOA centre(if not mistaken you need to turn left into a one way route after Wisma Cosway to see this building). It is a mid size-restaurant with divided sections and seating area. You will see the dessert area(which is rather small) when you first enter the restaurant. The foods provided have been divided into different sections, from soups and salads appetizers, Asian foods such as fried rice, fried noodles, crab, unagi, black pepper chicken, fried bun, and so many more.(P.S: the unagi wasn’t «the heavenly tasty and expesive unagi» we thought, so disappointed). There is another teppanyaki area where you can choose the ingredients and pass to the cook to made specially for you. Opposite the teppanyaki, there is a cold area for raw oyster with chilli and lemon(the freshness are still acceptable), followed by the seafood area with steamed prawn, fishes, cheese baked scallop, clam and cooked oyster. I saw a lot of people took the cheese baked clam, but I didn’t like it a lot because it mixed with other vegetables and most importantly they put mayonnaise into the scallop, which covered its original taste and added in the mayo sweet flavour(just weird). And then you can see the sushi bar with sashimi opposite the dessert area, that was the best food I had among all…(can’t say to be very fresh but not bad). However if your stomach can’t take a lot of raw food I suggest you to give up this one. And finally the dessert, not surprise though, with some jellies and tiramisu, basically that’s all… About the pricing, it normally costs around RM50 to RM70 per adult depend on which day and time you are coming. The buffet has 2 sessions daily: lunch from 12pm to 4:30pm, dinner from 6pm to 10:30pm. Discounts are available if you go by group. Ours were cheaper at RM40+ per person since we bought the coupons from Groupon. There are other promotions as well including birthday packages and Shogun VIP card(Saisaki is one of the Shogun). Overall the foods were okay, however RM40+ may be a bit too much if you don’t eat a lot.
