Kalifah Restaurant

This restaurant is situated below the well known Ecole P café. It is actually a mamak stall. It used to be one of my favorite breakfast place back when I’m still working in uptown. Reason being the food here is fast and reasonably cheap. I usually goes for their roti telur and a cuppa ‘kopi panas kurang manis’ (hot coffee less sweet)
Other than that, the reason I like coming here is because it is very near to my work place (walking distance). Like me, in the morning, many working people come here for some quick and cheap breakfast to go with a cuppa coffee. Some even chill here to read their morning paper before getting the day started.
Like any other mamak stall, this place serve breakfast, lunch, dinner and even supper. As usual, in Uptown, it is never easy to get a parking spot here unless you are here early in the morning (like the working people) or late at night (when the working crowd subside).

I walked in this place with my friend after a long afternoon of work and this is the closest Mamak place because my friend needs Halal food.
The overall cleanliness of the restaurant do not look appetizing. We just needed a quick fix so we sat down. We ordered a few standard drinks and food just to fill out peckish stomach. Food served quite promptly but staff attitude is quite a dismay.
After a few chomps, it makes me wonder at times how all these mediocre food places survive at all. I find the food oily and drinks overly sweet. Pair up with the ‘I don’t care’ attitude they display. This will surely be the last time I would ever walk in here.
