Little Fat Duck

While they offer really cheaply priced pasta here, your expectation would have to be adjusted as well, just according to the price charged. And, to be fair — that’s fair.
Apart from their usually RM6 pasta, you’d get the special daily RM5 pasta of the day as well. So, talking about the price range, for a food stall which is located in a mall, this is really a bargain. However, for me, the portion would need an upgrade. It’s still cheap in fact, even after the size upgrade. However, I don’t really find the satisfaction in their pasta, just like something is still lacking. Ingredients used were okay, but of course not premium.
It’s crowded during dining hours, but serving is quick, so you wouldn’t have to wait for too long.
While it’s not the premium kind of dining experience, one thing I like would be their humble tasting food. If you are craving for some humble food and want to save some bucks, you could try this place out.

Little Fat Duck is a stall selling mainly pasta. I have been wanting to try it for quite awhile because of the name but hesitated because it is CRAZY CHEAP. RM6 for pasta and RM5 promotion for a flavour each day. You can upsize for an extra RM3. They also have other sides and also chicken confit.
Tables are limited and sometimes they are full. You can opt to take away as well. According to what I read on the take away box, you should consume it within 3 hours.
I tried the carbonara and it was quite disappointing. The sauce was not flavourful enough and a little to diluted. Also, I tried their fish pesto which came with two small pieces of fish fillet. I did not liked the taste. Portion wise, it was enough to fill me up.
You should try Little Fat Duck out when you are low on budget but don’t have high expectations.

The place used to market their pastas at RM5 each, but after the recent change in the country, it was raised to RM6. It’s still considered a bargain, being in 1u, where there aren’t many food this cheap. However, the food here didn’t really caught my attention, I personally had much better in places like Humble Chef.
The pastas here aren’t really unique and tastes like they just came out of the factory. Some sauces are too bland while some are too salty, it’s always the same case. Sometimes, the meat or toppings are so little that I thought I was having plain pastas.
However, the thing about this place is that it revolves around the price and value, which is a crucial factor when deciding where to eat. Although the tastes aren’t great, the money you’re paying will be a good deal for your lunch or dinner.

Little Fat Duck started out as a food truck that operated in Subang and then recently opened a kiosk in 1Utama. Since I have not tried the food at their food truck, I decided to give it a try at the kiosk. Its fairly small space with 5 – 6 tables that can sit a small crowd. Their menu is very simple and consists of ;
–3 types of pasta (bolognese, carbonara, aglio olio, pesto and cream sauce mornay) RM6.00 You could also add RM3 to upsize your portion
–2 mains (Chicken confit and grilled fish) RM13.00
–1 soup (mushroom soup) *RM4.50
–2 sides (mashed potatoes and egg omelette) RM3.50
–Drinks (Iced/​Hot beverages, bottled & canned drinks) RM2.50
— Dessert (Milk Pudding) RM3.50
So far, I’ve tried the bolognese, carbonara, cream sauce mornay, chicken confit, and grilled fish. I have to say that the food quality is not that great but you get what you pay for. Its a very simple meal I would have when I am on a really tight budget and I need something to fill my tummy for some time. Other than that, I don’t think it would be my first choice when I am looking for a place to eat

While the name may sound deceptively bland, Little Fat Duck offers food with reasonable prices, and has been doing so since its food truck venture in Subang.
Even with the little to no choices on the menu, the food is still decent, and well worth the price that you will pay for it. Their carbonara is a little bit on the bland side, but since I am paying lesser for the price of a plate of pasta, I do not really mind. My friend tried their bolognese, and it is apparently their main dish, so do try it if you are there.
I would have enjoyed it very much if not for its taste. For its reasonable price though, I do not mind it, and you should not too unless you are going to spend that amount of money on more expensive pasta instead.

Hungry while walking in a mall not knowing what to eat? Saving up money to buy something you like? Visit Little Fat Duck as the prices are reasonable and the portion is just enough to fill up your tummy. Recently opened, they used to run and still running food truck, now they have their very own brick and mortar in 1 utama.
Though seating is quite limited, I recommend you avoid going there during the lunch crowd as it would be swarming with staffs from IBM and KPMG. Personally, I like the chicken confict as it taste really good and it is just enough for my stomach. The other day, my friend gave the carbonara a try, he was a little disappointed as the carbonara sauce was a little diluted.
I would revisit the place as I wanted to try their bolognese, but who knows I might bump to you guys while I’m there!

I heard about Little Fat Duck truck before but never try. And then, such a coincidence, Danny and I were seeking some food stall that we never go before at One Utama Shopping Center Food Street, and I spotted Little Fat Duck. The name sounded familiar to me at that moment. And we eventually decided to have our dinner there due to its cheap price.
Then, I reliazed it is the famous food truck at Subang area I heard my friends talked about before. So, let’s try out the famous food that we never try before. Little Fat Duck doesn’t provide wide range of food choice, but personally think it is still okay. Few choices are better than no choice. It has my favorite bolognese spaghetti and mashed potatoes. For me, with these two favorites, I was satisfied. While Danny chose to have chicken confit.
The price is reasonable and the portion is just enough for us. If you think you would like to get a bigger portion, you can choose to topup with additional few ringgit. The food was delightful. We enjoyed our dining at Little Fat Duck a lot. I am sure I will return to Little Fat Duck. Next time, when you are around One Utama Shopping Center, remember to try out Little Fat Duck.
