MR BOX Cube Concept Store

Quite frankly, I have never really liked this shop despite it being a gift shop, and I seem to see one in every mall I go to. I don’t get the things that are sold in here. It is not the kind of shop I’d walk into but I did that day just to get a better idea of it.
Originating from Japan, I then came to understand the gist of the store which is a «rent-​a-​cube’ concept where items are leased and sold on behalf of the seller. I suppose it then makes sense for the shop being theme-​less and clustered.
Plush toys (Hello Kitty, Monsters, etc), cushion pillows, themed mugs, caps, clocks, Michael Jackson bobblehead toy, accessories/​jewelries, and so on, you get my drift. As much as I find the concept to be interesting, things here are over the top, and too ‘cute’ for my liking, some even tacky looking if I may say which is unfortunate. If only items are tastefully selected before it is accepted and goes into display.
Well, for interested buyers, they apparently do shipping as well should you be unable to visit their stores.

MR BOX is a concept located on the 2^nd Floor in Paradigm Mall. The shop is right in front of the escalator from GSC Cinema.
From the outside, you are able to see boxes like pigeon holes in the shop. These boxes are rent by different people/​sellers to display and sell their products. You can find items such as T-​shirts, soft toys, Instax and many others from MR BOX. It’s a one-​stop centre, if you are looking for gifts. I’ve went to the shop several times. I’d must say this is a very good concept, but the items were not very attractive.
If you are a seller or plan to start off a small business, this might be a good option for you. You can rent a space from them, which is going to be much cheaper than a shop or stall. If you are planning to do so, try to decorate your «box» as creative as possible to stand out from the others. Due to the varieties they have in the shop, it’s very easy for the customer to overlook the items displayed.
