VinegPlus

Initially when I saw VinegPlus, I though it was a juice bar but eventually I realised it was a new concept vinegar bar. It looked interesting so I decided to check out the menu.
The friendly bar attendant took a tray of drink samples and handed me a cup to try. I was very reluctant when I heard the word «vinegar», but I was assured that it’s very different from the usual vinegar drinks. I took a sip and was waiting for the sourness to hit me, but the drink turned out to be really delicious. Slight acidity with a hint of sweetness from the fruit juice.
I took a closer look at the menu and noticed they have 3 main categories — Vineg Joy (fruit vinegar + fresh fruit), Vineg Combo (fruit vinegar + DOUBLE fresh fruit), and Vineg Nutria (fruit vinegar + fresh fruit + low fat milk + cereal).
You can also purchase the bottled vinegar and enjoy it at home such as Lemon Vinegar, Apple Vinegar, Mulberry Vinegar, Cumquat Lemon Vinegar and many others. Apart from Jaya Shopping Centre, you can spot them at Tropicana City Mall, Midvalley, and Publika too.

The sign on this juice bar lookalike read «VinegPlus Vinegar Bar». Hmm. Somehow, my brains couldn’t register the word «vinegar» into a juice bar. So, my brains was still thinking «Juice bar! Juice bar! Juice bar!» I was getting excited and feeling thirsty at the same time. My footsteps immediately quickened as I approached this vinegar bar.
The bar attendant saw me coming and instinctively grabbed his tray of drink samples and smoothly handed me a little taster cup of blended pineapple juice with vinegar. Did he say vinegar? At this point, I’m pretty sure I looked no less than a lost cow. He briefly introduced their products and handed me their menu. As I studied the menu closely, it was then I realized it wasn’t just a typical juice bar. It was a new concept integrating vinegar into blended natural juices! We always hear about how vinegar or ciders are so beneficial to our health all the time, but seriously, how many of us actually manage to get some of that precious stuff into our systems? But, here it was, this vinegar bar that whips up yummy concoctions of natural fruit vinegar and fruit juice! My happy meter was going all the way up.
The key ingredient of the natural fruit vinegar they use is the glutinous rice vinegar which improves our daily nutrient uptake, increases energy and vitality, and creates a healthy alkaline environment in the body. Vinegar drank alone isn’t a very pleasant experience. So, what better way to get your dose of vinegar than having it mixed into your juice? Genius. I really want to hug this person who established such a healthy business.
So, basically there are three main types of vinegar juices that I could choose from:
Vineg Joy: Natural fruit vinegar + single fresh fruit
Vineg Combo: Natural fruit vinegar + double fresh fruit
Vineg Nutria: Natural fruit vinegar + single fresh fruit + low fat milk + cereal
And there was a good selection of fruits that you could choose from to mix your vinegar with. I couldn’t ask for more. I got myself 2 regular cups because they’re currently having a Buy 1 Free 1 promotion. (Score!) I only paid RM8.90 for both of my drinks. I was more than glad to bring home one blended apple juice with apple cider/​vinegar and one blended mango juice with pineapple vinegar and they were both delicious! Really wanted to try the Vineg Nutria but, will save it for next time. I also noticed that they sell bottles of various fruit vinegars like apple vinegar, pineapple vinegar, lemon vinegar, grape vinegar, and a couple more.
Just before leaving, I was told that they currently have 4 branches in Klang Valley: Jaya Shopping Complex, Midvalley Megamall, Tropicana City Mall, and Publika. Apparently, the new kiosk at Midvalley is also offering this awesome Buy 1, Free 1 promotion. Definitely gonna look out for it when I’m doing my shopping there!
