Restoran Tek Kee Noodle House

So this place specializes in wanton mee, they offer different variations of it. You can choose to have your noodles with steamed or roast chicken, roast duck, siew yok or char siew. I have always been a sucker for wanton mee, so my expectations were pretty high for this place. It was alright, nothing very special about it, the noodles were mediocre at best, and I guess the only unique selling point of this place is that there is a variety of meats to choose from. The service is pretty alright, the waiters were nice and friendly. Overall it’s a pretty alright place to go if your local coffee shop with your favourite wanton mee stall is closed or too crowded.

Danny and I went for medical check up at Subang area. Well, none of us is familiar with Subang eatery. So, we just simply go the nearby restaurant for our brunch. When we saw Tek Kee Noodle House from the opposite side, we decided to dine there.
It is typical Chinese restaurant which sells barbecue pork. Tek Kee mentioned that they are using the traditional way to make their material; so yes, we wanted to try it out. Since they have two lots, the place is spacious. USJ 9 is lesser crowd; still Tek Kee is full of people. We walked in and find our seats. Soon, the captain came to approach us and pass us the menu. We ordered our own plate of dry mee and char siew, siu yuk. It served within 5 minutes. I was thinking to try their homemade soya; however, all are stored in refrigerator, so I didn’t order for that.
The mee was delighful; however, I find it slight salty. The dry sauce was delicious; while the char siew, siu yuk were well-​marinated and cooked. Our taste buds were satisfied with these meals. All in all, Tek Kee Noodle House is a good place to dine at if you are craving for barbecue pork. The price is reasonable. By the way, Tek Kee is a non-​smoking restaurant, sorry for smokers. If you want to dine here, please don’t smoke inside.
