Hostel & Suites Pata de Perro

We stayed here for three nights in the Pieces Suite at Pata de Perro. We made our reservation through
and the process was flawless. The hotel is located on the Zocalo of Bacalar, just a few blocks from the lake and with plenty of dining options nearby. Our room nicely decorated with a comfortable queen sized bed, air conditioning, and a kitchen area with dishware, coffee maker (but no coffee), a stove and refrigerator. Bottled water is also provided. Our private bathroom was clean and had good hot water in the shower.
Veronica, the owner was very friendly and helpful during our stay. We were there in the high season of December and it was a relative bargain compared to other hotels that are right on the lagoon — we paid about $ 60 US/​night. There are less expensive rooms but they do not have air conditioning and you have to share a bathroom.
Laguna Bacalar is a beautiful place and I look forward to returning
