Nice restaurant in appearance and on the beach. I had the linguini with clams & mussels. Mussels had a septic type tinge which I can’t be sure of but they are filter feeders and the streams in the town wafted like that too. Only ate a few … decided to be safe. Order something else… it’s a nice place to lunch.

The food was so bleh. Nothing was good and everything was mediocre and i mean everything from the sushi, to the pasta, to the fish. no matter what cuisine they attempted, it failed.

Very good! We had a party of 10 and everything was scrum-didly-umscious! Job well done. Our table was actually on the beach sand. Salsa dancing after dinner was so much fun. The place turned into a big salad party after dinner.

Pretty darn good grub. We showed up here 2 – 3 times during our week stay, it’s proximity to the beach makes it an easy make. Over our visits, we had the ribs(ok), the chips and guacamole(grubs) the mussels(butter and garlic grub) but the best was the mahi mahi Sammie — it was very good — had avo, salsa, beautifully seasoned and perfectly cooked. Toss in free WiFi and a big screen TV and we got a winner. Ya feel me?

I love Don Pedro’s. They catered my wedding and the brunch to follow the next morning. They were as amazing off site as they were at their beach front restaurant. Friends for life! I’ll always come back here. And as a travel tip, this is the cleanest food & restaurant in Sayulita. If you’re looking for a place that takes cross contamination into consideration(something we take for granted in the states!), you will be safe at Don Pedro’s. Great for families and children, too. Thank you again, Alonso!!! Your staff made my wedding more than I ever hoped for! Gracias amigos!

We use Don Pedros for our wedding clients regularly. Their polished staff and delicious food are highlights to Sayulita!

Go for a drink, don’t order the food. The view and service were great; the food was the worst of our trip unfortunately. Everything came slathered in enormous amounts of mayonnaise. It was pricey, but I’d gladly accept that if the food were decent. Such a shame, really, as it is obvious after eating in many other places in Sayulita that restaurants there can really put together superb meals. If they’d just concentrate on the food more at Don Pedro’s, they’d have an unbeatable place that would easily merit the higher prices.

Four of us ate there and three of us got food poisoning. We were sick for the rest of our trip. Multiple friends of ours who have been to the same restaurant have also said that they got sick at this place. Great location but terrible greasy food. We would not eat here again.

This was the second time we visited Don Pedro in Sayulta. From the last time we were there in 2014 I believe the service has improved tremendously, the food is just what we remembered which is incredible. We had again the Carne Asada and again it was a winner! The margaritas were delicious. The pizza was nice flavorful and crispy. The greek seafood salad was equally delish. This is not your typical Mexican restaurant the food is a bit eclectic. You can seat on the beach or inside A must go!

La ubicación es excelente, sobre todo para observar el atardecer. El menú es muy reducido. Las bebidas son buenas.

I did not care for Don Pedro’s. The location was great, right on the beach. Unfortunately the food was horrible, we had a pizza that was under cooked and the fish of the day was more like the fish of last week. This place is definitely a tourist trap.

Pretty darn good! This was our very first stop for food on arriving in Mexico. Once we’d dumped our bags and changed at our Casita we came by Don Pedro’s on our host’s recommendation. We were hungry and ready for beer, and Don Pedro’s provided well for us. Boyfriend grabbed a Pacifico and I asked the server for a recommendation — he was not too impressed by this and I ended up with a Dos Equis, which was fine. Definitely got a Pacifico on round two, though! We’d heard the fish sandwich was to die for, and only available at lunch, so Boyfriend snagged that pretty quick. I ordered taquitos — I’d never had them before, only seen how unappealing they look at certain convenience stores, and I thought having them in Mexico was an excellent way to change my opinion of them! My taquitos were quite good although a little dry — I could have done with more salsa, but the flavours were very good. That fish sandwich though. Ohhh yeah. I could have eaten 3, instead of constantly distracting Boyfriend in order to steal bites! The mahi mahi was beautifully cooked and very flavourful, and the bread was perfect too — not too thick, and a very interesting texture sort of like naan. The fries weren’t great, but that really wasn’t why we were there. We sat on their deck overlooking the beach, and the sandy floor was an excellent bonus — taking off your sandals and getting sandy feet while eating was a huge highlight! The prices are super expensive compared to other places(almost twice as much), but you get the great view. The service was not awesome, very cursory experience — it was the most I felt like a tourist on the whole trip! Definitely worth a visit once for the atmosphere and food.

Our family joked that all of the tequila in Mexico was broken. No matter what, we couldn’t catch a buzz. Don Pedros margaritas were the only ones in town that could do the trick. During the day time(by 11am), rent a lounge chair on the beach for two for 100ish pesos. Sit and enjoy all day. Very friendly staff serves all day. Pro tip: you can generally sneak into the bathroom from the street or beach. It’s right when you walk in to the left. I’ve also heard they have fantastic Jazz on some nights.

I think this place gets a bad rap for being a little pricier than other places in town. That being said it is on the beach and real estate is going to be more than four blocks in. You can order from your beach chairs or inside at the two story builiding. Everything we had was very good with the sashimi tostados being outstanding. The ceviche was great. Even the fish sandwich was cooked perfectly and the bread was very good. It is not a atuthentic cheap taqueria but they don’t try to be. The food was very high quality we thought the place was great. Where else can my wife and I have tons of margaritas, great food and only spend 70 bucks over the enitre day. I am a big fan.

I had heard pretty good things about Don Pedro’s from people who had previously visited. However, my own experience was mixed. My family dined there during the week of New Year’s. While my mahi mahi was pretty good, and my wife enjoyed her lobster raviolis(the plate was larger than I expected), the problem is this wasn’t what we really wanted to order. In fact, not one but four if the first few dishes we tried to order were out o stock. Clearly, the waiter was embarrassed when he informed us that not only was the restaurant out of lobster, but also mussels, the rabbit ragu, and the soup if the day. Our reservation was for 8pm. Not late at all. There is really no excuse to be out of so many items on the menu. In the end, the meal was satusfactory but we all felt a little cheated out of our primary desires. I will say, however, they were always showing live ice hockey games on the TVs. I guess there are enough Canadians visiting that they’ve learned to cater to their audience. Hockey is always a plus.

Sorry, but your gorgeous ocean front views aren’t going to carry those prices and mediocre food. There doesn’t seem to be much care put into the food coming out of the kitchen. What saves them is that the fish they serve is amazingly fresh, so it is difficult for it to be really bad. However, with the prices they charge this place rates more like a tourist trap, than a spot I’d like to recommend. Our meal cost 1000 pesos. We had 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, and each had a margarita. That may be reasonable by some American city standards, but not when I can get amazing Mexican for under 300 pesos, as well as great Italian for under 400.

Came here for a daytrip from nearby Bucerias where we were staying. Don Pedro’s was one of the lunch recommendations in my guidebook, and I understand that’s its fairly popular. We were here on the first Friday in March, when there was an international surfing competition being held in town, so the restaurant and the rest of the«village» was pretty happening. It was a lovely restaurant, albeit pricey and touristy. On the plus side, they did take a credit card, which we never used anywhere in Bucerias. All the food and drinks we had were tasty– Spicy Tuna Sashimi Tostadas (served on wonton tostada with avocado), Shrimp Tacos(fried served with flour tortillas with chipotle cream, guacamole & salsa Mexicana), and french fries(for the LO). A couple of drinks each(wine for me, beer for hubs, juice for our daughter). On the pricier side, we paid almost $ 60 for lunch, so keep that in mind!
