We stayed at the Hacienda Cerritos, where there is no in-​house restaurant, and Free Souls was the closest thing to us. It rained most of our trip so we couldn’t enjoy the beach or go wandering at night… so Free Souls SAVED US. They wrapped blankets around us to keep us from getting cold, they were attentive and friendly, and the food was GORGEOUS (and delicious). I would go back just for this restaurant alone. And try the Perfect Margarita!

We stayed at the Cerritos Surf Colony just about a minute walk to this place. Its a little back from the ocean but the restaurant is on the roof so you can still see the ocean and the hills going the other way. Beautiful place, very clean, nice lounge area, and a saltwater POOL. You can get some cocktails (they are 2 for 1 from noon to about 10) and hangout in the pool on the roof! Crazy. Did not think we would have the best pizza we would ever have out in Cerritos off a dirt road, but we did! We got the greek lamb pizza and shared one of their gigantic salads. We were very impressed by the food and the customer service. Our waiter was really nice and gave us directions to other great restaurants to try later in our trip. Try the habanero margarita. Its spicy and smooth!

Fantastic pool roof top… relaxing atmosphere… fantastic wood fired pizza… good wine selection. Worth the drive to view sunset of the Pacific!!!
