This is not your typical Mexican resort. Although there are some typical resort offerings, open bar, meals(amazing ones!) included, pool, beautiful surroundings, it’s just so much more than that. Every day you have the option to go on an adventure with some of the most personable and knowledgeable guides. Our adventures included a bike ride through a jungle with tour of an abandoned mission that may soon disappear; many Mayan ruins; and floating in a sulfur lagoon. At night, you relax(because there is no wi-fi! Which I ended up loving!) with other hotel guests, playing cards, drinking, swimming in the pool, etc., before returning to your very own air-conditioned bungalow or cabana. The lodging is incredibly clean, the beds are amazing(probably partly due to exhaustion from the adventures) and you even get a porch with a hammock. Every morning we woke up early to sit on our porch to watch all of the beautiful birds and critters go about their daily routine. The cabanas also have their own private pools.
