We stayed at this hotel in February this year when the carnival was in town. The reason for the low score is that the rooms really look like they went to a yard sale to get the décor. Stuff is really falling apart in the suite we got. Their pool is ok but tiny. They have a macaw near the office that will freak you out. If you say hello it will reply in obscenities. I did not find any amusement in that. Lucky for me I found vacancy having showed up with no reservations. One positive thing about this place was the proximity to the festivities that week end.

It’s not the «hotel motel holiday inn» but it is the hotel motel Ensenada inn (they actually call it a different combination of all those words on each site), with everything you could expect an Ensenada inn to be, including the unpleasant smells and poor internet (albeit free)… The large parrot, the barking dog, the 10-​piece brass bands at venues on either side of the property… Regardless, the price is super low, the location is close to it all (still recommend a car though), and the service is very friendly. It feels safe, it’s relatively clean (they give purified water free but I’d buy the sealed water bottles for $ 1), and it’s next to a nice laundrymat… Enjoy!
