Have enjoyed dinner here in past years but will never return after our experience this week. Food and service was extremely disappointing as it was overpriced and dull.

We have been coming here for 8 – 9 years and normally love it, the food has always been good, and reasonably priced. Unfortunately tonight will probably be our last visit for a while, they have changed the menu, raised their prices, the service was extremely slow, and the food was just average at best. The lobster and shrimp combo’s that used to run $ 14 — $ 16 are now $ 23, with fewer choices than in the past, and when a sever asked me how my half eaten meal was and I said«just ok», his response was«sorry», then he tried to sell me an excursion for the following day. We aren’t apposed to paying more for excellent food but it’s hard to justify higher prices and a smaller selection with so many other options in the area that are as good or better.

My family went thinking it was a promising restaurant for one $ sign. The chips and guac are free and quite good and filling. However, everything else from that was quite mediocre. We ordered shrimp tacos, lobster tacos, a burger, and the steak with lobster(it costs $ 10 extra for the addition of lobster). While we were waiting for our food, we were bothered by a band that seemed friendly at first but after playing demanded a tip. The food was okay but the tacos were definitely disappointing. The shrimp and lobster tacos costed $ 9 and $ 13 respectively and we only received three tiny tacos of each. The steak was obviously of bad quality and after we received the check, we saw that they had tacked on an automatic $ 10 service fee. A service fee just for serving us food? That was in addition to the already high tax of 16%. After we paid, they still had nerve to outright ask us to tip them. I definitely would not recommend if you’re looking for a family restaurant, a cheap eat, or a good eat. I’m disappointed we spent a meal during our vacation in Cabo San Lucas at this restaurant.

Been here twice and the restaurant itself is okay. However, word of warning, be careful of a guy who calls himself Oscar. Oscar claims he is from Tennessee and seems to work in the restaurant as he is helping to setup the table and to give you the bill. Do not talk to anyone other than anyone who is taking your order and do not talk about anything else other than your food. If not, you might have someone asking you whether you want discounted tickets by attending timeshare presentations, like Oscar, and end up not getting your promised gifts. After the presentation, he will not give you anything despite the prior agreement. He will ask for an expensive deposit. All in all, if you just want to eat decent seafood, this is the place to go but don’t talk to anyone who tries to sell you discounted ticket or offer you money to attend a timeshare presentation. I won’t come back here because I can’t believe the restaurant owner would allow someone like Oscar to help out in the restaurant.

Another disappointing excursion during our stay in Cabo. Again, your mileage may vary based on your own experience: if you are looking for an incredible deal on lobster, and don’t really care if what you get is similar to what you’d get at The Palm, this might be a solid option. For me, the highlight of the meal was the tortilla soup(which only cost an extra $ 1, so bargains are definitely to be had). The lobster & shrimp combo I got was mediocre, the guacamole very good, and the piña colada less than stelar. btw, is it considered par for the course to be approached by mariachis AND excursion hustlers while you are seated at a restaurant? I think I can handle one or the other, but not both.

Closed until October but will be back. Their other restaurant the Sleepy Lobster was very good also behind the Squid Roe. Unbeatable prices for lobster and steak or shrimp dinner. Under $ 20. Wow we always come here. Lobster was not in season but they find a way to get the little spiney crustacean anyway. In October things a will be back on track, very good for the price, regardless.

I was vacationing in Cabo with my family a few months ago… I saw an ad for this restaurant in a local newspaper printed in English«Gringo Express.» What caught my eye was the price advertised for a steak & lobster special for $ 18.95…I also checked the Unilocal reviews, all of which were positive! Located on a street which is apparently known as «restaurant row» which is just a couple of blocks from the marina. Open air restaurant, very friendly service. Food was excellent! They gave us some complimentary grilled beef slices to sample & we got free single shots of Tequilla! Bottom line: good food, cold beer & I would definitely come back the next time I’m in Cabo!

Went down to Cabo back in July of 2014, we had never been to the area were asking locals/tourists where and what we should check out. We heard about the Crazy Lobster from a couple on the bus to our resort. We gave it a shot and we loved the service, probably the best place we ate at! Great price for steak and lobster! We met a young man that works there, Elliot, and he came out with us a couple nights! Very friendly staff and they treated us with great and attentive care! Will definitely be back the next I’m in town!

The only reason I am giving two stars is because the service was good. The food was awful, which is a disappointment since most of the reviews were good. My husband had the lobster tacos — nothing special. I had the lobster tail. It was fried & the meat wasn’t sweet at all. On top of that, a guy who appears to work there gave us a timeshare pitch. When you go to dinner, you want to enjoy your meal. There’s enough of that in Cabo when you walk down the street so who needs it after dinner? Maybe the good reviews were because they give you a shot of tequilas each time you order a beer. I recommend you go across the street to La Dolce.

This is a must stop for us whenever we vacation here. This is normally a 5 star joint for it’s open air dining, reasonably priced food and drinks, the service is usually very good – they’ve always taken good care of us and our daughter. The last go around was a little disappointing because the lobster was not grilled with the shell so it was lacking in flavor. Plus during one visit they had run out of lobster and said that was true with everyone. Not sure if I buy that excuse but they did discount some of the other plates plus I prefer the scallops and shrimp over the lobster any day. At times we will get hit up for a timeshare presentation(man they are good at what they do!) but that happens with many of the restaurants here. I just realized I didn’t buy myself a Crazy Lobster shirt this time!

Open air restaurant located in downtown Cabo San Lucas. We were greeted by staff as «amigos» and directed to pick wherever we wanted to sit. I’m a lobster lover so I was excited to try the NY steak and lobster! The plate included rice and refried beans and fresh handmade tortillas. I LOVEHANDMADETORTILLAS! While I truly enjoyed my steak, the lobster was a bit dry and overcooked. The garlic seasoning they used for the lobster was good though. The scallops and steak plate on the other hand was banging! Scallops were cooked to perfection and a huge portion of it. Luckily they had enough scallops for our order because they were out after. 2 for 1 Coronas to wash everything down. Each plate was $ 18.95, which I think is reasonable. I really enjoyed this place. The staff was friendly and more than willing to keep the rounds coming. I stopped at a beer and a half but these guys just really want you to have a good time. Such a fun experience!

I was craving shrimp and lobster and decided to give another place a shot rather than eat at Maro’s for a third time on this trip. When we came for dinner, we were informed they did not have any lobster. Seriously? The restaurant is called The Crazy Lobster and you don’t have lobster? Anyway, I ordered the shrimp, scallops, and fish combo with butter and garlic. The food was okay, but not worth coming back to, especially with Maro’s right next door. Maybe, just maybe, I’d give them another shot in the future just so I can say I’ve tried their lobster, but given how middling the food I did try was, that’s a REALLY big maybe.

One of my favorite places in CABO! If you love lobster tails give this place a try, we have been stopping in for the last 4 years and crave lobster tails, I usually up my order to two tails! I’m greedy, refried beans are a favorite. Price is right, and has that mom and pop feel!

Close in town and priced right! They had a steak and lobster dinner for $ 18.95 that did not disappoint. Quick to get seated, fast service(except for shot I had to order 3 times). Food tasted fresh, was delicious and service was friendly. Good eats cheap…

I Had the Ny steak and Lobster and my wife had the grilled shrimp and lobster. We both were very happy with our meals. The steak was grilled to exactly my liking. My wife said the lobster was a little over cooked for her liking but it didn’t bother me one bit. We shared some flan for desert, it wasn’t the worst nor the best but it wasn’t gross or anything like that. Just average. I don’t want to forget to mention after 5pm you get a free shot of tequila with each order of beer which is awesome. Definitely a cool place with good value. SIDENOTE : PAIDWITHCASH. Dined at this place at a friends recommendation and it didn’t disappoint. I had the Lobster and steak which costed $ 15.95 and it hit the spot. The steak I had was prepared medium rare and it was pink and not bloody red to where it was pulsating blood. Lobster was seasoned with garlic and complimented with butter if you choose. Rice and beans were the fillers and of course the complimentary tortilla chips with salsa and another dip which was a cross with chipotle/tamarindo which tasted amazing. They had vh1 on the tv and I must say either it’s a coincidence or by chance but it seemed like they were playing my iPod playlist as I almost knew every single song played. The chef(owner?) was friendly and the staff was tentative. And the part that gave it the 5th star… Wait for it… Wait for it… Ready… They have WIFI!!!

The Crazy Lobster very much caters to the gringo. The menu and walls are plastered with things like«Broken Inglish Spoken Here». I ordered the lobster tacos which I believe ran about $ 10. After all, I am at the crazy lobster, why not go with the name sake. While most dishes bearing the word lobster should be priced well above $ 10 this was a total let down. Cabo has no shortage of inexpensive fish with surprising and delicious results. This was not one of them. The lobster was grilled up with peppers and mushroom which wasn’t something I encountered anyplace else. None of the flavors managed to stand out. Not the peppers, or mushrooms and very much not the lobster. Tortillas were nothing special, like something you could buy at the store. The rice was likewise bland. The whole meal lack any stand out flavors, it wasn’t event very spicy! I will say domestic drinks are 2×1, but that is pretty standard. I’d keep it moving’ and find someplace else to dine.
