The fruit plate was the first I’ve had here that included mango — not your typical watermelon/canteloupe/papaya. Although you kind of pay for it with it’s unusually high price. Buna 42 also takes a very creative approach standard Mexican fare such as the omelette and the mole tacos. I enjoyed the fresh take of seasonings and vegetables, but don’t expect a traditional recipe. The service is hit or miss. Our waiter was slow but kind, but the barista was a little off-putting.

Awesome coffee, great café food and super fast wifi. Really great place for hanging out, getting online, eating some tasty food and drinking great coffee. Not bad prices either when considering the standard.

The espresso was great, I also had a con leche that was really good too. I love how the espresso machine is below the counter and you only see a little of the machine above the counter. I loved the food. I had chilaquiles rojo with pork. The sauce was just a little spicy and tangy and amazing!

Everything about this place was perfect. The friendly staff, the quality of the coffee, and the presentation of the food. Great outdoor seating to people watch. Try their fruit with yoghurt and granola!

Third wave coffee in DF! Buna 42 is a cute coffee shop reminiscent of those found in the Bay Area. My husband ordered a cafechata, which is a blend of cold brew and horchata, while I got a cold brew with almond milk. Both drinks were 50 pesos each(~$ 3USD) and were really tasty. You can tell that they know what they’re doing here, measuring the water for pour overs and offering some great hard to find coffee drinks.

Wish we’d discovered it sooner! This place has amazing food and coffee. I had the cafechata, a cold brew and horchata hybrid that is a religious experience. Ended up buying beans to bring home.

Buna is usually a nice coffee shop, and you can probably find all kinds of methods you would want for you coffee but I came here for a special tasting dinner offered by the chef. It was 5-course menu. We started with tacos de chapulines, which is a local delicacy but not very appreciated by foreigners. I wouldn’t say I love chapulines(grasshopper) but to be honest I believe it tastes like chili powder and salt. Second course was an onion soup, very delicious. Up next we had mushroom risotto and as a main course we could choose between chicken or fish. The whole menu was quite interesting with yummy combinations that only used locally selected products. I was not a big fan of the dessert(crème brûlée with balsamic vinegar) but other than that it was a great time. I finished my meal I had a double espresso cortado and it was definitely among the best I had in the city. The ambience is clean and appropriate to study or work. Looking forward to my next visit.

Love love love Buna. What a great and unique concept. All the people that work there really take the quality and experience seriously. The menu has so many great unique options that you can’t find anywhere else, like coffee and horchata mix, and different versions of affogatos(coffee and ice cream). The pricing is around the same as Starbucks but the quality is vastly superior and I like the atmosphere more too. There is outdoor seating and free wifi and breakfast options if you want to brunch. The salad I had was incredible too(which is normally not how I would describe any salad). Definitely give this place a try.
