We had a fantastic day taking a tour yesterday with Local Quickies. We did the zip lining/​cenotes/​Tulum beach/​catamaran tour. Local Quickies is one of the few tour companies that has access to the cenotes at Tankah, so we were the only ones zip lining when we got there and my boys were able to do the lines several times. The cenotes were beautiful and my boys had fun repeatedly jumping off of the 15 foot cliff. We stopped for lunch at a local taco shop on the highway. The pork for the tacos are cooked 12 hours underground. The tacos were amazing. One of the best meals we had in Mexico. We then went to a beautiful beach in Tulum for about 1.5 hours and then sailed on catamaran for about 2.5 hours. The staff was amazing. Mar, Sophia and Manny were the tour guides and they did a fantastic job making our day special. Can’t say enough good things about this company and I am glad all the reviews I read on Unilocal and TripAdvisor were true.

A friend of mine decided to celebrate his 30^th birthday in Mexico. He booked an excursion for our group with Local Quickies. Our two fun activity guides — Alex and Sophia were genuine, funny, and really excellent tour guides. I don’t remember the name of the package we booked, but it was all day and included snorkeling with turtles, jumping into zenotes, and ending the day in a catamaran with an open bar (yes!). Our group had another all day adventure the following day, but with a different company, and it wasn’t nearly as personal as LQ was. I will recommend LQ to anyone looking for a great time in Mexico with friendly tour guides in a more private setting.

What an amazing and unique experience! After finding Local Quickies on Unilocal and reading their stellar reviews, I called very late in the day to inquire about going on their signature tour the next morning. When I mentioned to Captain Quickie that my daughter already had a sunburn, he sent along biodegradable suntan lotion for her to use on the tour. The next morning, we were picked up at our hotel by a friendly driver and whisked off to our first destination for snorkeling with the sea turtles. Our guide Sophia was extremely knowledgable and great fun! On the way to snorkeling in a crystal-​clear cenote, Sophia passed around water and snacks. Our small group of 8 had the cenote all to ourselves and we had a bast jumping off platforms into the pristine waters and exploring the beauty of the cenote. Sophia treated us to a great lunch at a small family restaurant and then we continued on to the most beautiful beach in Tulum, to relax and enjoy the scenery and then board a catamaran for an afternoon of sailing. BEST tour I have ever been on in ANY country, hands down! I will be reccommending Local Quickies to all my friends and will definitely be back!

My family and I were just down in Mexico last week and we had an amazing time. We were looking to do a little adventuring and found Local Quickies on Unilocal.We went for a private excursion and had the most amazing time. Our guide, Sophia, and driver, Alex, were fantastic. We went to 2 fresh water cenotes, snorkeled with sea turtles and Rays in the ocean, and had lunch at a local spot. Local Quickies isn’t the over used tour from some resort. These guys care about the places they visit and take strides to maintain the natural beauty around them. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough!

I really cannot say more about the Local Quickie team other than they are the absolute best, hands down.
We were in the Rivera Maya for a vacation with some friends and wanted to do something other then your run of the mill adventure park/​hotel tour. I found Local Quickies on Unilocal and immediately booked a signature excursion for the four of us. I had pretty high expectations going into it and they were simply blown away.
First off when you get to the shop, the owner Captain Quickie give you the low down about what to expect. You can tell right off he is extremely knowledgable about that area and cares deeply about the marine life. Huge shout out to Manny for leading us throughout all of the fun activities during the day. In the morning we snorkeled with turtles and explored the reef, than swam in the most picturesque cenote (Which was off the beaten path). Finally during the afternoon we spent time on a beautiful beach, and finally sailed back up the coast on one of the largest sail boats in the Caribbean.
We could not have asked for a better way to experience the more authentic side of Mexico, It was a unanimous 5 star day. I highly, highly, highly suggest this company If your wanting to bridge off from the standard touristy places.

You will discover true, unspoiled beauty as well as meeting some of the friendliest people on this planet. They offer many different excursions to meet any of your adventure needs. I have been blessed to travel with Quickies a few times, and will definitely go again. I’ve referred several people from

Captain Quickie and his team are AMAZING!!! My fiancé and I were fortunate to do their Signature Excursion. It was my first time snorkeling and I was pretty nervous as I am not the best swimmer. But Captain Quickie and his team made me feel comfortable. Once I started snorkeling and enjoying the scenery of the ocean, I asked myself why haven’t I done this sooner. The fresh water cenotes we went to were breathtaking and the feeling of the fresh water touching your skin was unbelievable. Perfect end to the tour was sailing on the largest catamaran back to Puerto Aventuras from Tulum. Thank you so much Captain Quickie, Amy, and team for your hospitality and making our vacation so wonderful. It was like being with family.

My fiancé and I recently visited Captain Quickie @ Local Quickies and had the most blissful and relaxing experience. We enjoyed the signature cruise with and sailed aboard the catamaran from Tulum to Puerto Aventuras. We were able to see the ruins and enjoy an amazing sailing experience that included a friendly crew, an open bar and delicious pork tacos to feast on! Every crew member was friendly and accommodating to each and every person on board. We absolutely enjoyed the «private» experience as the boat not packed in like sardines. Moreover, Captain Quickie is a true seaman in that he explains all the details of the catamaran, the power of ocean and the history of local people. Amy and Quickie are genuine entrepreneurs and kind-​hearted people that put the guests’ experience above everything else!

Captain Quickie and his team are the best there is when it comes to excursions. We first visited as a couple in 2014 and then brought the whole family along in 2015 (grandparents + adults + kids ages 3 – 8). We visited 2 cenotes with great cliffs to jump off, went snorkeling with sea turtles and stingrays in Akumal, and had a great afternoon catamaran sail. They were amazing with the kids and even the 3 and 4 year olds were able to snorkel and had a great adventure they’re still talking about. Twice in a row, it’s been the best day of our vacation! The service is exceptional and I love that they care about the natural environment and take care to preserve it.

This was the best part of our trip to Mexico !:-)! Quickie and his staff are amazing. We did the signature excursion and have no complaints about the entire day. The sailboat cruise was the perfect ending to a wonderful day in Mexico !

Local Quickies Signature Tour is absolutely AMAZING! The team is professional and courteous, but also a ton of fun! On our Akumal snorkel excursion, we got to see numerous sea turtles, but also some rare sea life such as the Spotted Eagle Ray! And, as members of the Riviera Maya Conservation Society, you can feel confident that Captain Quickie’s team also maintains a high level of respect for the marine life and eco-​systems observed along the way. The Cenote swim was especially special, since our group was the ONLY group there! And then lunch at a little locals restaurant was some of the best food I’ve ever had. Wrapping up the day with some time in Tulum and then a Catamaran ride was the icing on the cake. The catamaran team had some of the BEST service I’ve ever experienced and helped to round out a perfect day! I highly recommend Local Quickies for anyone looking for a day of fun and adventure in the Riviera Maya!

Captain Quickie & his staff are so professional, friendly & fun. My family has had such fun & memorable times on his excursions. I also really appreciate & love that he is so knowledgeable & respectful of the environment. If you want something more personalized & different than the large group tours this is the way to go! I recently did the signature excursion that Local Quickies offered, and I can honestly say it was the best experience I had in Mexico. When I contacted Captain Quickie, he was responsive and answered all of my questions. On the day of the tour, the staff that picked us up were warm, friendly, and on time! The day was great, and the guides were very knowledgeable about local history, geology, and even recommended some great places to eat.
I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a good time in the Mayan Riviera. It truly did feel like a day out with friends, and was the highlight of our visit to Mexico.
