I happed upon this lovely store in downtown central San Jose del Cabo, Mexico, next to the hotel Casa Natalia. It was selling beautiful accessories and crafts for something that has become increasingly unusual in this town: reasonable prices. Not to mention that Victoria herself was quite nice to deal with! I bought two beautiful beaded necklaces and a lovely black and white beaded belt with a geometric pattern. In general, prices for art and crafts have become unreasonably high in the Cabo area, mainly because the shopkeepers realized that they were often dealing with millionaires who would pay inflated prices without questions. But for the rest of us … crazy high prices combined with an unpleasant attitude will build no lasting relationship I would be happy to pay a fair price, especially if I knew that a reasonable percentage were going to the artists. But I will not pay prices that clearly bear no relation to the any objective value. Victoria Fritz is a store I will come back to upon my return to the area and I highly recommend you take a look.
