Marriott

Well lets start by saying a few things. I have been to this hotel two times — 2 weeks in August 2015 and now 2 weeks in April 2016.
Pros:
— Hotel lobby is beautiful
— Amazing breakfast
— Very nice staff
— Decent rates from USD to MXN
— Car rental on site
— The «downtown» area is within walking distance
— Delicious Caldo Tlapeno :)
Cons:
— THE ELEVATOR is SCARY. It barely has a sensor. You can get smashed in the doors. This is a serious warning!
— The air conditioner is not consistent from room to ro. Some rooms feel like Elsa lives there and others feel like someone is blowing air on you. I had to be a goldilocks and have the engineer find a room that worked for me. Being from Chicago. I want a STRONG AC!
There aren’t many good hotels in this town and I love my Marriott status… so I am here!

Elevator is constantly broken besides that it slams shut. Has no sensors. Rooms smell bad all the time. And the executive center in the 4^th floor has always food left over every night and over the weekend to rot.

Average for Mexico, but it would be a 1 – 2 star in US, Canada or Europe.
Pros–
Nice lobby
Friendly staff for most part
Great breakfast
Great pianist in the morning
Cons–
Phone doesn’t work
No hot water in shower
Towels feel like sandpaper
No transparent windows in rooms
Guitarist plays late into the night and keeps up everyone up (ask the staff for him to stop, and they do nothing)
Elevator is small and scary (when it actually works)
I’m surprised Marriott puts their name on this place. It is a town with nothing to do, but I would expect better from such a well renown brand.
