Pleasant staff, but the half filet was a terrible cut and undercooked, and the papas fritas were undercooked, as if the oil wasn’t not enough. Companion liked his steak though.

The best steak we have ever had! Get the half size, it’s about 20oz steak! This place was absolutely or favourite steak we have had anywhere

Excellent steak(we had the Argentinian cut) — perfectly cooked and divinely tender. Sides(grilled vegetables and fries with chimmichurri) were very good. Service fine but not exceptional. Drinks were the letdown — piña colada was overly sweet and the house red, while good, had chunks of cork floating in it(though as my friend sagely observed, at least this meant it was from a bottle!) Overall, definitely recommended for the steak!

It’s sounds strange to get Argentine steak in Tulum, but it was sooo good. Shared the parillada which was 5 – 6 kinds of meat including fresh chorizo, steak, ribs and chicken. The vacio steak is juicy and fatty and delicious. Perfect with a glass of red wine.

we had a long day after driving from Valladolid and climbing the ruins at Coba. We hadn’t eaten since breakfast and had quite an appetite. Buenos Aires was recommended by. A friend so we decided to give it a try. the waiter warned us that the steaks were 400g(about a pound) so we decided to split one along with a salad. They also bring bread with yummy chimichurri and grilled onions. Food was delicious and the staff was attentive and friendly

On the corner of Av. Tulum(Main Street) and Beta Sur, Little Buenos Aires is unmistakably Argentinian. I overheard the owner speak in the distinct Argentinian accent so I believe that’s what lends this place its authenticity. It may be an odd choice for the tourist in Tulum — after all this place is neither seafood nor taco inclined — but I am so happy I opted for the adventurous choice. Everything we tasted was incredible — the vacio in particular was unbeatable. We ordered two glasses of wine, a chorizo app, the grilled veggies entrée and the ½ order of vacio steak. The wine selection by the glass was limited but their house red was a pretty decent Chilean cab. The other options by the glass were well thought out as well. Let me cut to the chase, I was not expecting the vacio steak to be that good — we ordered it medium– and again I was not expecting that temp to be nailed on a grill at the level of perfection it came. Plus, the ½ order was huge — must have been at least 12 oz — it was juicy it was tender it was flavorful. It was life changing. Everything else that came from that grill: the veggies(carrots, zucchini, tomatoes, etc) and the chorizo were excellent. This place deserved to be busier than it was Tuesday night.

Did I travel all the way to Tulum to eat Argentinean grilled meats? No. My goodness no. I came here to eat Mexican food. But circumstances somewhat beyond my control landed me in this little joint, and it ain’t all that bad. At least as far as Argentinean restaurants in Tulum go. And our presence here was on recommendation of someone back home who knows what he’s talking about when it comes to food. The venue is similar to those on the main Tulum Pueblo strip — open, palapa-like seating facing the street. The grill is open and up front, if you want to watch them grilling up the USDA cuts. The steak offerings are voluminous. And if you’re a fan of red wine, they have it. It’s definitely not a first beverage choice for me when in hot weather, but some folks like do drink that red with their meats. The fare here is pretty decent, and the cuts of meat are quality. The portions are large and the menu is very carnivore-oriented. Various steaks, meat platters, etc. How the Argentineans eat, you know. The grilled veggies are good. The Vacio is a solid choice. And they have Fernet on the shelf, if like me you prefer a digestive aid after cramming a pile of flesh into your gullet. Service is friendly and welcoming. And while this wouldn’t be my first choice for food in town(I’m here to eat tacos!), if you’re in the mood for some steak, it’s a good choice and probably the best steak in town.
