Café Saloon

One of our favourite places to go here in Amsterdam. The Saloon burger is one of the best hangover cures Ive had the pleasure of eating. Fantastic music and nice staff.

Not up to par. Salad no taste. Panini small mostly bread. Burgers over processed and way too salty. Skip this

Un Resto idéalement placé à 2 minutes à pieds du musée Rijk, il né paye pas de mine mais nous nous aventurons à l’intérieur. Ambiance petit café très convivial, service parfait, de bons conseils et en prime un burger végétarien ! Le pain n’est pas très frais mais le goût y est. Pas trop cher. A tester, leur bière locale et leurs pancake à l’ananas en dessert !

Spicy chicken panini is great! Note it comes with small salad, we didn’t know and ordered a side salad to split.
Very nice location, walkable from museums — we were coming from Van Gogh (which was very good).
Very good beers too! And reasonable prices, especially compared to city center.
Onion haters beware, they cover everything with raw strips.

We came here early on a weekday. Fast service, good coffee, good breakfast plate and big portions! We tried the English breakfast which was huge and is the perfect base for a fun-​filled day in Amsterdam. Also, the locations is perfect, just 5 minutes walking from all the museums.

Nice place to eat. Cheap drinks. Nice staff. Great outdoor people watching. Good burgers.

The atmosphere was great sitting in the outside terrace. English Breakfast was pretty good.

Lovely lunch at the Café Saloon. Safe was great and very friendly. The food was good. I had the croquettes. The waitress informed me they were very Dutch. They were tasty. My companions enjoyed the tomato soup and goat cheese salad.

When we visit Amsterdam, Café De Saloon is always a stop on our agenda. It is conveniently located in the Museum district where two streets meet so it’s a great destination for people watching.
Saloon has great breakfasts including a wide selection of omelettes and an authentic English breakfast. Fast forward to lunch and their panini and salad selection is extensive. For snacks, they have a great selection of local and international from bitterballen and croquettes to buffalo wings. They also have an impressive selection of burgers available here.
To note a couple things, they no longer accept American credit cards, so be prepared to pay with cash. It is also quite small inside, so when the weather is bad, it can become very busy and crowded inside.
The staff is always wonderful and very helpful.

Zwar natürlich recht hohe Preise, aber man kann dort sehr gemütlich draußen sitzen und die Bedienung ist AWESOME! :D

Sehr schön geeignet zum Frühstücken, wenn man das überteuerte Hotelfrühstück woanders lieber auslassen möchte.
Lecker Eierspeis, Pannekoken, Ciabatta und/​oder Panini zusammen mit frisch gepresstem Orangensaft und allerelei Kaffeespezialitäten lässt’s sich draußen auf den sonnenbeschienen Plätzen seeeehr aushalten.
Gut, Amsterdam ist teuer, auch das Frühstück ist nicht davor gefeit. Aber immer noch preis-​leistungstechnischer als im Hotel.
