I walked in with HIM and wasn’t sure what I was looking for in particular and this friendly woman walked up to me and explained each of the cheeses and where they came from. Within 5 minutes I found a variety of 3 cheeses that were wrapped and ready to take with me on the plane back to California. Great atmosphere and location, I recommend this to anybody, especially if you are a tourist looking for a gift to take back home.

Ein richtig toller Laden. Viele Käsesorten, die man vorher gerne auch verkosten kann. Trotz großer Touristenströme sind die Verkäufer gelassen und sprechen mehrere Sprachen. Sie können jede Menge zu den Produkten erzählen und treffen garantiert den richtigen Geschmack. Kleine Geschenkkörbe als Mitbringsel werden geschmackvoll hergerichtet und liebevoll als Geschenk verpackt.

It’s like the Costco of cheeses… lots of cheese and Dutch cookies and candies, and lots to sample with. I love the variety you can find and try. My favorites are the gold edition cheeses… they were nutty, mild, semi sweet, and chewy… not soft… It’s a foodie and mouse’s wonderland.

Variety, a fresh modern décor and the right location is the KEY to selling CHEESE (KAAS). You’re shopping and shopping, why not stop by in this more up to date cheese shop which not only stocks a good variety of cheeses to sample but also tools, accessories and cheese products. You can try cookies and goods with cheese cooked right into them. From Cow, Sheep or Goat cheese in the form of Gouda, Spiced, Smoked or Herbs. I know many of the other cheese shops will do the same, have cheese samples out but will not have as many varieties or carry cheese and a little bit of cheese products. But Cheese & More by Henri Willig carries more and presents it in a more modern atmosphere, but regardless it’s still the Henri Willig brand, pretty much in most of the cheese shops. The cheese flavor varies in depth and taste but are all very good.

For tourists a must to go into… Lots of typical Dutch food products like Cheese cookies and Dutch candies!
I think there should be more places like this in Amsterdam because the typical Dutch food and culture is very rare in the city centre.
Let us be honest the H&M’s etc. we can also find at home right?
