Coffee Company

Coffee company is my favorite chain, but this outlet disappoints every single time. Weak coffee with lots of milk is what you get no matter what you order. I visit very rarely and always hope for a miracle, but I cannot say I have had any luck so far. Farewell for another six months!

They have wifi if you buy coffee, but you have to ask for your receipt!
This was the first place I moseyed into when I got into Amsterdam, which was damn lucky. All the baristas were nice, despite me being frazzled having arrived after 11 hours of flying and soothed my nerves with some decent coffee and WiFi. Sure there are other cooler independent style coffee shops in the area, but this one was exactly what I needed, right when I needed it. Someday I hope to go back!

Small space to order coffee, it gets cramped when more than 6 people come in to this Coffee Company location, I mean you will be almost touching the person next to you if there are 7 people trying to order. With only more cramped stool seating upfront by the window. This is one of those to go Coffee Company locations. Good thing there are tables outside. Ordered myself a Bambino — Funky Monkey, I have no idea what classification of drink this falls under, coffee? hot chocolate? It lacked flavor, so I am thinking not coffee, I am thinking hot chocolate. Good stuff but it’s too sweat and lacked strength. But it is topped with whipped cream.

Pfff… dan ben je een hippe koffieclub en dan zit ook nog een vol met die vliegen van een toeristen… minus/​minus voor mij! Ik wordt er een beetje moe van: iedereen moet zogenaamd hip zijn en besteld de zoveelste dry-​bean-​pachuca-​latte-​macchiato– crappachino-​linksdraaiende-​soy-​milk… Allemaal kuddevolk! Drinkt men omdat het daadwerkelijk zo lekker is? Née, men betaald gewoon graag 7 euro voor iets dat in de categorie koffie valt maar vooral, tja… iedereen doet het toch? I rest my case… En de eigenaren van de Coffee Company? Die lachen zich helemaal gek omdat er zoveel idioten binnen komen en hun portomonee leeg schudden voor iets dat 120 x over de kop gaat! What ever happend to just plain ol’ black coffee!!! Desnoods een espresso of een cappuchino, maar daar houdt het voor mij. Als ik zwarte koffie bestel wordt ik aangekeken als of ik een chromossompje teveel of te weinig heb…“Oh bedoeld u medium panchuca lungo?” Née muts, ik wil gewoon een bakkie pleur! Nou ja, u begrijpt het al… doet u mij maar helemaal zwart… hmmmm!

The walking tour I took stopped here as their mid-​tour break. A great spot for a good caffeine injection and a sweet treat! Not too expensive and because they have a big trade in tourists, everything is labeled in English and the staff also speak English. Bonus!
Located right in the Dam Square, this is the place to go for your Dam Coffee.

Coffee is OK but the best thing is that they have outdoor seating on the Dam.
