I have to be honest before I write my review, my visit at Coffee Company is somewhat bias since I do not rate the Coffee Company locations high at all, no matter which city in this country. In my opinion this chain lacks not only quality, but most of all lacks any form of hospitality and honest sincerity towards guests. 3 – 4 years ago I visited Coffee Company with a certain frequency, however after a while I started to witness how the majority of the CC crew communicated with guests. Since then I simply refused to enter any Coffee Company in the Netherlands. Today I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt, since I was on van Woustraat waiting for an appointment. Oh man, I wish I could show even slight portion of positivity towards this place(especially the staff). I ordered a flat white and basically right from the first moment that I sat down the energy coming from the two ladies was 0%(understandable when you have a long shift, but that’s what YOU chose). When you work for a company, big or small, you REPRESENT everything that that company wants to project towards its customers/guests. The moment that you as an individual get hired to do a job, be grateful to have the opportunity to earn your own money and make people happy! One of the girls continuously ate rice cakes in front of guests, while checking her phone several times. Please see the photo attached. Manager of Coffee Company, question: is it ‘normal’ or in your ‘employee manual’ that your staff can simply take out their phone and digest their social media information in FRONT of customers? Yeah…sorry, no more Coffee Company for me. For all the people thinking that I’m making a big deal out of nothing: the hospitality world is about respect, sincerity and creating a warm environment for guests to enjoy their time. Guests PAY the salaries of these employees, at least show some appreciation for the fact that you can make a living for yourself!

I love this little place, because the outdoor seating allows for plenty of people watching. –And boy, did I see a lot of goodlooking men bicycling by while I was sitting outside!!! It’s clean & neat and the staff is friendly and quick. Good coffee. Make sure to grab a newspaper from the table inside if you happen to be by yourself and are bored. Free Wifi here. :) Get the portobello & goat cheese & onion tosti. Yum!

This isn’t the most gezellige Coffee Company around. Still, I find myself here pretty often. It is fun to sit outside on the terrace and watch the busy streets while taking a break from work. The coffee and pastries are of course the same as they are at any CC, so you know what to expect. It’s an okay place, but only in the summer so I can sit outside. I don’t like the inside interior and would prefer the Van Woustraat or Rijnstraat CC much more.

Yep, it’s A-OK. It’s like Starbucks: everywhere you need it to be, consistently consistent and wifi/plentiful seating. Seriously, it’s everywhere in Amsterdam. And, for a coffee lover(aka: junkie… someone…please…help!) like me, it’s nice to see a café(i.e. dealer) on any corner. Most of the time I head to CremaEspresso, but when not close to my Crema, I head to CC. Not the best tasting cappuccinos, but definitely, definitely not the worst.

The coffees Ive tried here are only mediocre. Its convenient and on-the-go — the Starbucks of Amsterdam i would say but for some reason the drinks don’t compare. Go in for your reg cup of Joe without any expectations and you should be fine. 3 stars for the variety of flavors they have and convenience. There is free wifi for a limited of time. Overall I find Starbucks a more enjoyable experience.

As other said, Coffee Company can be considered the Dutch Starbucks, and I have been several times especially in this one located in De Pijp. Coffees are OK, being Italian I am used to a different standard but still like them. There’s a full menu with different flavors and compositions. Every customers receives a code to use the Wi-Fi for free for an hour, and there are tables made to host people with laptops, with power plugs and wide space. I particularly like to seat by the window, so while I am sipping a coffee and surfing the web I can also look at the people passing by.

Coffee Company is like Starbucks is in the US, only the coffee is way better! The free hour of wifi with a purchase is very nice and this one has ample seating to hang out and make use of it. The outdoor seating is great but they could do a better job of cleaning the tables when people are done with them.

When it comes to the Coffee Company you will find a lot of different locations around town. As far as quality, I felt they were ok, not amazing but just ok. It’s basically a similar style to Starbucks when it comes to chains, brand and atmosphere. However, I don’t think they can compare when it comes to taste. For some reason, I did not fall in love with the place. Amsterdam has many better alternatives in the neighborhood to get a good, hot cup of coffee or tea. Now if you rather pay a lower price for basic coffee and your not able to run across one of these coffee chains, than stumble right in a nice pub and you may get a better experience there too.
