Business travelers beware! Internet connection is basically non existant and the area is pretty much dead in the evenings. Except for homeless pepole that will approach you in the smoking area…

While this may not be a 5 star hotel, for the value it absolutely gets 5 stars. Staying in Amsterdam on a business trip. Ambiance: 4.5÷5 — Lobby is beautiful, and large! The floor plan is open, wide, and some amazing art deco décor. No decoration for the holiday, but maybe that’s not their thing. Would have given .5 more, but the elevator’s a bit hard to find, and the’re really small. — The exterior of the hotel is quite large making it easier to find. The outside is kinda weird looking to be fair, and doesnt do the inside justice. — The individual floors look GREAT. Matches the ground floor with a black and white color scheme with pops of purple and dark blue. they look just as amazing as the pictures. Service: 5⁄5 –Service at this hotel is amazing. Being from the West coast of the United States, cold weather is extremely foreign to me, and the hotel made every effort to make sure I had access to everything I needed. I had to switch rooms twice due to nonfunctional heaters. — FREEANDFUNCTIONINGWIFI. FREEBREAKFAST. Outlets on the breakfast bar so you can eat while you work. — So I had a major incident with the taxi diver on my way over here who tried to scam the shit outta me(500 Euro for a trip from the Airport…). The front desk man was EXTREMELYPROFESSIONAL and mediated the situation amazingly. He walked me to the ATM to get some money to help me pay the guy off(50 Euro), and made sure I was safe. –You can order food 24⁄7. not a large menu, but enough for when you’re hungry and jetlagged. There’s also a small convenience shop at the front desk with Sodas, and some snacks, which is great if you are up late/ Rooms: 4⁄5(I was in a standard economy room) — Heaters aren’t great, but the bed linens are extremely warm, so its fine. –Bed is comfy, but the if you move around while you sleep the mattress moves with you, haha. –The closet and the bathroom share a door, which is kinda weird, but not really a big deal. –Shampoo/Soap/Conditioning dispensers: LOVE. SMELLSAMAZING, and this means I can use as much conditioner as I want. I can shower twice and its no big deal. BESTTHINGEVERWHYDOESNTEVERYHOTELDOTHIS? –Plasma screen TV’s, laptop desk to use on your bed, plenty of outlets, etc. perfect for the business person. –Plenty of lighting in the room. Good space, and pretty good décor. Food: — Portion sizes for all the food was huge. Made a mistake of ordering too much(again). Tasty! — Easy to access 24⁄7 small convenience store down store. Also sell salad, pizza, and sandwiches 24⁄7. Overall: Great. Hampton hotels are greatly consistent across the board, and as a business person, I almost always choose them. Also, the front desk man, Emmanuel, should get a raise/award/something for his exceptional work and service. If you’re reading this Hampton: then just know he’s the reason I didnt turn right back around to the airport after arriving. 10⁄10 would stay again.
