Went here for a much-needed break after a long day of sightseeing. The coffee and smoothie(watermelon-mint was the special of the day) were delicious but the atmosphere was not for us. We didn’t feel overly welcomed by the staff and once we found a place to sit in the cramped seating areas, we found ourselves on display in the middle of the Red Light District. Not the kind of people-watching we were hoping for.

We loved this place. Ordered a grilled cheese with bacon on artisanal bread, and a smoked salmon with cream cheese & avocado sandwich. Both were amazing! Very eclectic use of different ingredients such as pomegranate seeds & fried onion crispy things(so yummy!). The staff was extremely friendly. Price was right. Will definitely come back!

Very small café but worth waiting for. Coffee is good and the cake delicious. Didn try the sandwiches, but they looked delicious too.

Nice laid back spot in the red light district. Good food, decent coffee and nice stuff. Definitely worth the experience

The staff here is unbelievable friendly. I wanted something cold so the girl recommended me «their specialty» which was ice coffee with a scoop of vanilla ice cream inside. It was delicious, and just what I needed on a hot day! 5 stars for ambiance and décor, as well as service and product!

Nice place to hang out in a sunny day, watching tourists in Red Light passing by. They have a nice interiour, usually it’s crowded, but you can zip a good cappuccino and stumble upon Flip from UnilocalAmsterdam if you’re lucky, since she’s a regular. Very friendly people there

The place — oh, so interesting. The staff — oh, so friendly. The coffee — oh, so good. The first time I visited Ivy & Bros was very recently, actually. I was meeting a friend, who has made this place into her second home, to do some studying over a coffee. Ok, and maybe a cake. Soon after sitting down, however, I found myself exploring what is around me instead of looking at my laptop. All these cool things; some shiny, some not. All of them for sale, by the way. And how could you possibly miss the massive jaw over the bar? Also, I saw some interesting magazines on the reading table… After which I realized that I need to do some work, and maybe go shopping here for my curiosity cabinet next time I come(which I do not have, but I might as well start after seeing what is on offer). I stayed here the whole afternoon, in the company of good coffee and a delicious chocolate cake which had figs hiding in it.(And my study-buddy, of course.) Overall, I find this place pretty awesome. It is quite an interesting place to come across in the otherwise, let’s say, not always so glamorous Red Light District. But I do understand that this specific quality may be something more dear to the more permanent explorer, or inhabitant of Amsterdam than for the short-term visitor of this area of our beautiful city. I would say, I am absolutely into this place. The next time I make it all the way to De Wallen(or Red Light District, as it might be known not non-Dutchies, and non-Amsterdammers), I am definitely going for another visit. And I cannot wait. So cool!
