Mech Make & Take

When I started working in Zuid around 2.5 years ago, Mech was one of the only places to get lunch! It’s nice to see that even with more competition around, Mech continues to deliver.
The service is great — my buddy Randy always remembers me, the sandwiches are consistent and their ‘order at the counter — we bring it to you’ system seems to really work! The coffee is also solid and the prices are reasonable. I’m at Mech every week or two and there’s a reason! Now if only they’d add regular, killer soups — it’d be perfect!

I have great memories of this place. A few years ago I worked on the Zuidas and would go here a few times per week. For some reason it never became boring.
They have a wide range of delicious sandwiches and you can choose between two sizes.
Mech has tables inside and outside during warmer months, but it’s always a bit of a struggle if you don’t come in on time as it’s a popular place.
Back when I used to go here, they ask for your name and they call it out once your order is ready. Given the spacious but crowded and noisy space, and the outside tables in summer, I sometimes found this inconvenient. I have seen many waiters call out names over and over again before someone noticed it was him/​her!
Other than that, the place serves delicious sandwiches!
