Pizza Heart

My friend who lives across the street from this place in Ijburg recommended them to me, and I’m glad she did. The pizza here is delightful! Maybe I’m just saying that because I hadn’t eaten anything all day when I received my pizza delivery, but I think it’s more than that. I ordered a black olive, capers, anchovies and crushed red pepper pizza, and it wasn’t too salty or too spicy, all the flavors were balanced and just right. I can never find crushed red pepper here for my pizza, and they had it, and it was gloriously spicy. Big fat flakes of hotness. Om nom nom! The tomato sauce was fruity and the crust thin and crispy.
My husband had the pizza hawaii, and the ham was flavorful and not overpowered by the pineapple. So often when I taste pizza hawaii it is like a dessert pizza because it’s so sweet, but this tasted like a real pizza, not like a dessert item.
They were even willing to deliver to centrum-​oost in reasonable time, even though they’re waaaay over on ijburg. They found our place ok and called instead of ringing the bell to avoid waking our sleeping baby, and so I couldn’t ask for more. I can’t wait until I can order from them again and try out their tiramisu and other items. If they’re made with as much fresh ingredients, care and precision as the pizzas we had, I’m sure they will be great!
Update: I’ve ordered from them a few more times, and delivery is always super fast. 20 minutes from ordering to having a pizza on my doorstep. Win!
Their desserts however are not as good as their pizzas. They are pretty bland and sweet with no complex flavors or anything. But they are better than a sharp stick in the eye, so if those are the alternatives I say order their dessert. :-)

If you live on IJburg, this is the place to order your pizza from. The quality of the pizzas is OK in general, although not very constant. I usually end up ordering the quattro formaggi types, as they work out best overall.
I happen to live on a hard to find address on IJburg, and the delivery is always very prompt, so that is a plus as well. They sure are fast!
