For those who adore chocolate or those who simply love gelato, de Lelie is a sensation that rivals gelato makers in Italy, where one can be hard-pressed to find a gelateria with perfectly balanced taste and texture. Their chocolate-flavored gelati are super creamy and very rich in taste; we’ve never tasted gelato that matches the true taste of chocolate this closely. On top of that, it doesn’t melt too fast, which is a sign of true craftsmanship. If you’re in Delft and craving some great gelato, ‘De Lelie’ is the place to go.

Make a trip down to Delft just to try this ice cream. I’m not a big ice cream lover and I can’t stop thinking about this place. The best ice cream in town maybe even all of South Holland… opens at noon and the line will start slightly before noon. It was so amazing I can’t even describe it. This is a MUST! Try the extra dark chocolate as this place is also a chocolatier and they do it well.

Best place for ice cream in Delft! And very cheap as well. There’s a massive line of people everyday in the summer. It was my favorite thing about living in Delft.
They have a variety of flavors and the best thing is that they add whipped cream on top! Makes everything okay if you’re in Delft you must visit this ice cream shop, it will for sure make your day!

De Lelie sells hands-down the best ice cream in Delft and their chocolates are also delicious! I really like supporting a local business, as they make all of their chocolates on-site. They offer an extensive assortment of chocolate truffles, candies, etc., but you MUST try the «caramel elite» truffle if you visit De Lelie!
