Eat To Go is a new fastfood place in Roermond that I passed while walking to the store. Aside from having the ubiquitous Dutch snack menu(sandwiches, fries with goulash, fish & chips, various meat krokets, meatballs, frikandels, etc.) they also have a Chinese selection of wok dishes that you can eat there or take away. They offer a choice of chicken, pork, duck, shrimp and fish dishes in 6 types of sauces: teriyaki, sweet & sour, oyster, gon bao, black pepper and a «chef’s» sauce — whatever that may be, your guess is as good as mine. Your dish can be accompanied with white, fried rice or noodles. I ordered the Char Sieuw(bbq red pork), white rice and the sweet & sour sauce. It came in a Chinese take-away box which is a first for me in The Netherlands. Chinese food here usually comes in rectangular, plastic container/tubs, so the paper box was a nice change. The Char Sieuw was nice and piping hot which sat on top of the rice. Nothing extraordinary but decent and filling. All in all a nice meal for 6.95 euro.
