I lived in Ireland for over a year and this place reminds me of one of my favorite watering holes«The Bleeding Horse». It is great for whatever type of night out you are looking for. Want to flirt and dance? The Fiddler has you covered? Want a dark corner to make out in? No problem, there are plenty to chose from? Heated political debate? Just tell anyone outside you are American and they will take it from there. While it is a little pricey, it is totally worth it, as their selection of beers and ciders is really very decent.

I am drunk writing this review but I tried all the micro brewery ales except the Lion’s Den and it was all fucking delicious. I love this brewery!!! We are here right now!!!

Ganz gute Bürger und riesengroße Auswahl an Bieren — eher was um zu Trinken als zu Essen… die Location selbst ist auch sehr ansprechend, authentisches englisches Pub.

Sunday burger deal! Nice burgers, not too much and not too big. Very tasty. We both had the cheeseburger, but you can also choose one with bacon or the works, with a fried egg even. Come on Sunday and get second burger halve price. Just one complaint: we ordered big fries and got french fries.

One of the places in the Hague where a lot of expats go to. A large collection of beers, reasonably good pub food and a nice atmosphere overall. Can get pretty crowded on match days and in the weekend. It’s one of those places where you feel comfortable and you want to come back to.

I stopped in here to take a short break from walking around The Hague while I was there on a weekend trip. I struggled with what to rate this place, because I had only stopped in for a couple drinks, and only had an appetizer, so I don’t know how good the rest of their food was. Honestly, I chose this place(1) because they seemed to have a good beer selection, and(2) because they had free wifi. I walked in at 4pm on a Friday, and they were fairly slow at that point, as you would expect. But when I left at about 6:00 pm, this place was PACKED. And once they got busy, you did have to wait quite a awhile after asking for something for it to come out. I ordered the calamari while I was there, and it was just alright. I’m pretty sure the sauce they served with it is the sweet and sour sauce you get when you order sweet and sour chicken at a Chinese restaurant. Although, it was only 4.50 euros. They have an awesome beer selection, and if you can’t find what you’re looking for, the staff are great on helping you find a similar alternative. All the beers in the menu are organised by the way they taste, so similarly tasting beers are paired together. Their staff speaks really good English(in fact, when I was there most of the people behind the bar were either British, or North American). The inside of the Pub itself looks like your traditional UK/Irish style kind of Pub, and it is very large. It would probably be a nice place to go if you have a large group, as they had a pretty large area upstairs with pool tables and lots of seating. All in all, this place was alright to hang out in. Their service was good, but it went downhill the moment they got remotely busy.

Sometimes, 150 beers available is all I need to hear. That and a solid British-influenced menu. Staff speaks great English, restaurant has great ambiance. Try the fish and chips with a Hertog Jan.
