The service is very friendly. We had a 3 hour wait and the staff was accommodating. We had a lot of good green tea while charging our dead phones. It has very few tables but its very open and large area and surprisingly there is always seating. Its clean and nice place to stay for a drink and a nibble. We recommend the staff here. Sehr Freundlische. While waiting here, they gave us a sample of their lemon-poppyseed muffin. Its good! Now I want to buy one. :)

I’m originally from Seattle. My husband used to work at Starbucks HQ… this is a taste of home. They offer seasonal items like Pumpkin lattes(finally!) and staples like lemon cake… That said, the experience is not the same as back home… heaven help you if you ask for a cup of free water. Last summer I bought a bag of Verona, two slices of lemon cake, a huge cup of coffee and a chocolate muffin. It was warm and I asked for a cup of ice water because I wanted ice-something that is not common here. I was told no. I demanded a cup of ice water and was treated poorly-as if I were tying to get away with something. After having lived here for a while I know this is a cultural difference-Dutch people don’t usually give stuff away no matter how much you buy. But I keep going back… the coffee tastes like home… walking inside almost feels like a portal to Seattle.

Visited this place during my repeated trips to Netherlands. This one is at the Utrecht station around 40 min from Amsterdam central &35 minutes from Den Haag Central. In general, Utretch is quite a busy station, so naturally Starbucks being crowded was not a surprise. What was surprising was the way orders were handled. It worked like a pure play assemble line with multiple folks taking order whoever is free. It then passes on to someone at the counter to collect cash then it further passes on to a person who actually prepares coffee/drink for you. May be they developed this way to handle the surge of excessive crowd but it worked pretty much awesome. Normally the little space you see are occupied by young teenagers hanging out. So grabbing a seat is like next to impossible. best deal is to have a take away and sit somewhere outside and still relish the Starbucks coffee. And above all the best part of the deal for me was, that here the Starbucks passbook App on new iPhone did worked, unlike in Germany where my App is pretty useless. Overall, once you are there, you cant miss it. You gotta visit it!!!

I love Starbucks! It’s just too bad that it costs double what it costs in the states and they don’t sell Pumpkin Spice Lattes here yet. :(Hence the three stars, otherwise it would have been at least 4.5 stars for me! Also, if you know your way around Utrecht, go to the NS building, that Starbucks may have a really short day, but it’s usually quiet enough to get a good deal and have a nice chat with the barrista’s. :)
