I was born in Palmerston North and after finishing High School I decided to head to Dunedin to do a first year in Health Science. When I was 14 I had orthodontic treatment so that had sparked my interest in dentistry. My first job out of dental school was back in my home town working with a «crazy» dentist who was using functional orthodontic appliances. After seeing the amazing results that Dr. Bruce Wilson was achieving I began to dig a little deeper. In the past 10 years I have travelled all over the world learning about the latest techniques in non-​extraction orthodontics. I owe a lot of my training to Prof. John Mew in London who pioneered Orthotropic treatment and to Dr William Hang who put together a comprehensive training programme on Orthotropics.

Dr Gerry Quinn in Nelson and I are the only 2 people qualified in New Zealand to do this treatment. My passion is working with young children that still have baby teeth and finding the root cause to their crowded teeth, as I believe
