Balmoral Heights Reserve

Green patches of goodness! All reserves just about deserve a four or five star rating, particularly if they are well maintained, which Auckland City Council actually do very well. Balmoral Heights Reserve is no exception, with a recent new arrival of bark chippings (is that what you call it?!) piled in a big heap, some already spread out under the trees ready for the cooler weather to approach, not a piece of rubbish laying around and the garden trimmed and tidy.
This is a small little area and may seem strange to review, but I really do appreciate these little patches of nature; they provide a spot to rest when shopping on foot and gives the opportunity for locals to relax in some solitude, enjoying the company of a few birds and occasionally another person doing the same here.
Dogs are welcome here, but it really is such a small place that I don’t think many people with big hounds would bother, it is not much room for running or playing, more relaxing and resting. Actually I wonder if any Tai Chi/​Chi Quong Practitoners know about this little place, it would be an ideal location to begin those morning exercises with.
