You know how sometimes you hone in on one thing, well for me it’s been real estate signs in the area I drive to work which happens to be West Harbour.
I know the Auckland real estate market is hot right now and the number of opponent signage on the streets proves that. Very prolific amongst the bunch is one of this city’s biggest franchises, Barfoot & Thompson.
According to their website this branch has nearly 200 listings in the area and 10 per cent of these have open homes as I write. I imagine this is a big part of the local market and I imagine a lot of families choose to list with a successful agent like them.
When I drove past on this particular Friday evening around 5-​ish there was a flurry of activity outside the front doors of the agency, maybe another successful deal just went through and parties were meeting to sign the necessary paperwork.
