Ordered the farmers breakfast. Think toast, egg, Avo, prosutio, tomatoes and salad. Perfect for a sat morning brunch.

We’ve been here a couple times, food are always at high standard. I love their bakery items !! With is also available from little bread and butter bakery’. We had their banana smoothie which is good and the special burger with fries, haulomi beetroot salad, really nice… and there is easy parking just outside of the café.

Came here for brunch, first impression this place is very popular as it was pretty busy and packed but manage to get a seat. Had nice setting, friendly staff with a great sense of humour. Food came out pretty fast and was delish! Would def come here again and would recommend this place to others.

I’d always been deterred from dining at Bread & Butter due to the heaving crowds when doing my weekend shop at Farro Fresh — but that can only mean its popularity must be contributed to good food and service. Wanting a local bite to each one weekday lunchtime without a queue or battling for a car park, Bread & Butter was seemed a reasonable choice. The food is scrumptious and the service crackerjack. There’s good variety on the menu which has a few staples but veers away from the standard, boring generic breakfast and lunch options. The décor is fresh and fun. They make their own breads and pastries and the wafting smells here are divine! I’d now say it’s worth braving the crowds and the SUVs parked outside on a Saturday mid-morning!

Fabulous for meetings during the week, completely manic in the weekends. The original Bread & Butter is much larger than it’s little sister store in P. Central and it’s conveniently located next to Farro, which means it’s got a tonne of free parking. Bonus! The large tables are perfect for a mid-week afternoon work sesh and they even have a private meeting space(it probably seats up to 10) that you can book in advance. They even have table service — ideal if you’re having an extra long two coffee meeting. As I said, too manic in the weekends for me — every time there’s a wait, making it not the most relaxing place to be on a Sunday morning but as far as mid-week meeting go, it’s hard to beat!

I don’t like being negative, but I would advise going somewhere else Characterless menu describing characterless food served in a characterless café run by slightly overwhelmed staff(but they are nice) Coffee was pretty good If you have kids it looks like THE place But I can’t help thinking its some kind of Grey Lynn mc café

Have been here a few times, first time was great I had the pulled pork roll from the menu, second time the mushrooms which I didn’t enjoy so much. The coffee is only average. My favourite are the smoothies, highly recommend! Cabinet food always looks nice but expensive.

One of my favorite cafes in Auckland, menu is amazing so many choices and everything sounds scrummy! Coffee is just ok but I am a bit of a coffee snob. Smashed avo with poached eggs is my fav along with the salmon salad, pappardelle and the pulled pork. Not blown away by the cabinet food, if I was after a roll/sweet treat would most likely go elsewhere but for a Sunday brunch it’s one of my first picks!

Bread & Butter Bakery have two sites — one in Ponsonby Central and the flagship in Grey Lynn, off Richmond Road. I have been here a few times now, heavily reviewed in the media — they all love it, so do I!!! There is a great selection of breads and pastries, children’s menu, and sit down fare. Good coffee, excellent wait staff, parking at the door and vibrant ambience. Highly recommend to all:)

It is hard to find good bread in Auckland and even harder to find a good bakery — so I was happy to hear about this place and actually stumbled across it whilst in the area, recognising the name straight away. The staff were also super friendly and helpful. The prices are high so it is not produce that I can afford to buy every week, but for a treat or when guests from outta town come over, I will be dropping them a visit. Looking forward to my next visit:)

Yes, it’s next to Farro Fresh Grey Lynn. I’ve been to Farro several times and din’t realize there was a great café just around the corner. Bread and Butter is one of the greats. Interiors are great, fantastic stuff on display, friendly and attentive staff — especially on the super busy and packed Sunday morning. Coffee and food was there before you know it. I had the avo mash with the perfectly poached egg. We will definitely be back. Could have been five stars, but it was too noisy to be comfortable. I had to fight off feeling rushed and on edge as I read the Sunday papers. Maybe on a quieter afternoon, everything will come together. They have the best cinnamon rolls in New Zealand.

Bread & Butter is, I guess, the big sister to the Little Bread & Butter! The menu is the same but there is so much more space at this location! I wish I lived closer to make it my weekly brunch place. They make their own fresh fruit juices(orange, apple and apple/feijoa) and the food is delicious. I will admit I was not hugely impressed with my chocolate almond croissant. It just tasted like they added cocoa powder to the almond cream mix, and it just wasn’t chocolatey enough to me taste. Still very good though! My partner’s order came promptly and was served with a smile: scrambled eggs with toasts and bacon. Probably the best toast he had ever had! We made sure we didn’t leave without buying a loaf of that yummy organic bread. I cannot post this review without mentioning the flawless service though. We felt welcome and the ladies were all smiling and happy to help. I can’t wait to go back!
