Cassidy Eyecare is an independent optometry practice, specializing in personal, high-​quality eyecare. We have offices in Te Atatu Peninsula and New Lynn.

We are a family-​owned business, not a corporate chain. This means we can offer the kind of continuous personal care that is only possible when you see the same optometrist at every visit. With us, you will be treated like a person, not a number.

We only stock products that we feel offer the best value available. We stock high quality ranges from Silhouette, Adidas, Gucci, Pro Design, Jaguar, OGA, and many others. We also have good-​quality budget ranges starting from just $ 50.

Our services include vision therapy, behavioural optometry, contact lens fitting and general optometry. We are certified examiners for NZ Police, the CAA and Maritime NZ. Our investment in high-​technology instruments allows us to offer digital retinal imaging and computerised visual field testing at both our practices.

History

Established in 1996.

Our Te Atatu practice was originally established in 1996 as The Optical Shop, by Mr Ken Payne. It was initially located at 550a Te Atatu Road. In 2008 the practice was relocated to the newer, larger premises in the Bella Vista building, where it still is today.

The practice was purchased by Troy and Stephanie Cassidy in 2010 and rebranded as Cassidy Eyecare to reflect the strong value we place on personal service in our business.

Business Owner

Cassidy Eyecare is owned and operated by Troy and Stephanie Cassidy. Between us we have over 25 years of experience in the optical industries of New Zealand, Australia and the UK. We are both West Auckland born and bred, and still live locally.

Stephanie loves dealing with children, and is a member of the Australasian College of Behavioural Optometrists. Not content with managing her own family, she attends seminars on children’s vision whenever possible.
