One of those places you remember is in the area if you’re around Greenlane and needing coffee. It’s changed hands over the years, but the coffee’s still good, service friendly and most of the baking is gluten free. Also, there’s some enticing savoury options for late afternoon lunches.

Situated in Epson on Claude Road, Constant Cravings has been around for a little while but recently got new owners. Though management has changed, the recipes and great gluten free products have remained the same. The savoury muffins in particular are fantastic. Really soft and light, these gluten free muffins do not have that gluten-free texture so many gluten free products do. Constant Cravings has managed to retain fabulous favours and textures even though they are mostly a gluten free café. Constant Cravings also make their own muesli which they can serve with a hot mixed berry parfait — it’s to die for! Sooooo delicious and such a nice way to start your day! The décor of Constant Cravings is a bit bland — it’s quite minimalistic, so if you’re looking for something a bit fancy or eclectic, this isn’t the right place for you, but the coffee is great, the food is delicious and the staff are friendly. Though the food is undeniably fantastic it can be a bit pricey — but it’s worth the money if you need good, tasty gluten free! If you are someone that requires gluten free foods, or you know someone that does, Constant Cravings is definitely worth heading to the Epsom shops for.

Constant Cravings will have you craving their coffee– but only because of the long wait in service. A small café off the main road for the working class near-by(namely antique shop owners) and the presentation is very professional. The food cabinet is well stocked on wooden platters, with out being over-crowed, and with professional prices to match. Apparently the vogue in Epsom is to serve espresso in a tulip cup and when it eventually came it was accompanied by a jug of hot water so I could make a long black, which appeared more desperate than considerate. The wait on a quiet mid-morning Friday was barely acceptable. Hopefully the bright oil paintings will distract you if you order anything larger than a coffee.
